ALPHA17
Is matching of ram in pairs needed for laptops?? It is recommended to keep it in pair(s), yes. Considering this is a DDR3 unit, just get another 4GB stick. Notebooks do not require a whole lot of RAM unless you are doing something intensive with it. Also any option to increase the inbuilt shared video memory ?? I looked at bios buy couldn't find the setting If you do not have an inbuilt iGP, maybe the GPU chipset has its own separate set of V-RAM to go along with it.

ALPHA17
^ It is pretty okay, not exactly a value purchase agreed but then we do not have any competition at that price-point, so make hay while the sun shines. =]
MegaMav
today had a short demo of iball's new mini laptop - the 'compbook'. nice little laptop. comes in 2 sizes - 11.6" & 14". rest specs same - http://www.amazon.in/iBall-Excelance-CompBook-11-6-inch-Integrated/dp/B01FHE9L7Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1463253141&sr=8-1&keywords=iball+compbook touchpad seemed good - responsive & not finicky. display also pleasant (screen reso 1366x768). will be buying one (11.6") this Monday for parents for casual use. ALPHA17
^ DELL can get the components of the individual SKU disassembled into India separately and put them together locally, thereby save on tax or they have a single SKU pricing worldwide which they have implemented to prevent purchase of the SKU internationally and loss of revenue. reddevil23
I want to buy a laptop, preferably in the range of 50-55k. Purpose is everyday use, watching movies and light gaming. Not gonna use it as a major gaming device but would like to play CS GO, Football Manager, Cities Skylines at medium settings. Looking for Windows 10, 8 GB RAM and a decent 2 GB GPU. Kindly suggest models for the same. Edited July 23, 2016 by reddevil23

ALPHA17
^ That's a Core i5, lower power consumption variant which is one generation older. It would be better if you could pick up a Core i7. You can look at this particular model @flipkart.
