So I currently have a hdfc LTF  regaila, but just got a option to upgrade to regalia gold, but it’s paid. Is it worth upgrading or should I just stick to ltf regalia

Haha ! Just got the same offer. The only real difference I see is lounge access without payment milestone (vs Regalia) and 5x accelerated points with certain merchants. Else it seems they want to move LTF members to paid options.
Remember that Regalia is not accepted at most lounges now (Gold is). With Regalia, you have to spend milestone and get an online voucher for lounge.

With RG, you can move your points to more airlines.

Other than that, HDFC is trying to move everyone to paid cards, almost everyone got LTF RG to paid DCB and LTF DCB to paid Infinia. That's how you move up the ladder.

Unless you're in the airmiles game, you're spending 2500 a year for essentially nothing. Gold does not even do fuel surcharge waiver.

You'll will never be able to move up the HDFC cards ladder then.

It's a move which you have to make to get better cards.

If your monthly spends are more than 50k+ and doing/planning 1 international trip in 2 years then having miles cards help you offset part of travel expenses and even allow you experience luxury for fraction of cost.

Based on your credit limit, you can ask for upgrade to DCB too.

I think even Regalia offers some token lounge access or is it completely devalued.

Is it worth getting a Scapia card. They're saying LTF. Are there any hidden charges?

Wanted to know about this too, the no forex thingy will be helpful

Yes. I am using it. Pretty good for foreign travel. No forex charge. Reward is pretty decent at 2% on all spends.

Since it's LTF, there's no harm.

I have pretty much started using Scapia card now, unlimited lounge access is good as I almost travel once a month and sometimes twice a month.

I am thinking of upgrading my Sapphiro card to Emeralde (12K per year) compared to Sapphiro which is LTF card. 12K will give me unlimited domestic & International lounge access and SPA access as well and I can stop using scapia. HDFC and SBI card can just stay for the 10% discounts that come once a year. 12K emeralde also gives me four free tickets in BMS capped to 750 rupees per ticket, that means four IMAX tickets for price of 2 which should cover the monthly charge.

ICICI has already given me an option to upgrade just waiting for them to upgrade the offer to Metal card.
