@Ethan_Hunt Mate, since I cannot find the Hitman (2016) thread here I'm posting here... I started with Hitman (2016) a few days ago and man I have been completely hooked to it. The game has completely consumed me and whenever I'm off work I playing this! Trying different approaches and strategies to take down the targets. You already know my obsession with Hitman games but after completing Absolution (you and I had a jolly good time playing it and posting on TE back when it released) I hadn't picked up any of the newer gen Hitman games, until now. So, now I have 3 full fledged Hitman games to bask in (Hitman 2016, Hitman 2 and Hitman 3)

I do have a question... since I'm doing all the Challenges in each mission I'll also be trying the Escalation Contracts. Did you happen to complete the Escalation Contracts in this game?

I'm still on the Paris Level, LoL! I've been playing and re-playing the sh*t out of this level doing everything there is to do

Yo Hawky! Good to see you back on the Hitman track man. I have been meaning to get back into it myself but too caught up with all the other backlog I had on my plate. For a stealth assassins like you, I'd say this is a heavenly treat. I had only tried the Paris level back when it first launched, but never managed to get back as the episodic release part p*ssed me off. But from what I remember, there is so much freedom now and you have so many ways to pick and choose how to eliminate your targets. While the earlier Hitman games were our jam back in the day, this is a completely new breed of openness. The areas are freakin' large and I thought the crowd density in Absolution was crazy, but that's nothing compared to these games.

What system are you playing on? PC?

I still remember playing through Absolution on our Suit-only run, it was a nightmare. Remember the 'Attach of the Saints' mission? Man, it was something else. It's such a shame that game got a bad rap, but it was definitely one of the more darker stylized Hitman game. Hope there is a level like that in one of these newer games that let's us go through cornfields or something like that. Just keep hammering away and let me know how you're experience turns out to be. Good luck Agent 47! :fear1:

I'm playing the game on PC, yes. With my trusty Xbox controller. :)

You are absolutely correct when saying the levels are huge! Exploration and figuring out what to do and how to go about achieving the objectives, eliminating your targets and not being compromised is daunting to say the least but in the end rewarding with it's own feeling of satisfaction. The most fun I'm having is in the Suit Only, Silent Assassin runs because that's the most demanding Challenge in any mission. A complete ghost is what you need to be! That's not to say I'm not going for the disguised paths, because otherwise the game would become dull and far too difficult. In the end it's all about having fun and enjoying the game as such.

I'll be honest though, the sheer size of the maps, the number of entry & exit points on each map along with the sheer number of NPC's has been beefed up to a different level in this game when compared to previous Hitman titles. It's almost overwhelming at times when you first get into a fresh map for a new mission! Yesterday I was doing the Sapienza level and the two approaches I did following two entirely different paths and opportunities left me surprised in the end. I mean sure the targets and objectives remained the same but the ways to completing the said objectives were so unique and was nothing like the other path I had just followed. A lot of work has definitely gone into designing these levels and making use of the map and characters which makes things interesting. Doing the Challenges is so much fun.

For now I'm sticking to completing the Assassination Challenges and Discovery Challenges. The Escalation Contracts aren't really appealing to me so I might just skip them altogether. They seem to be just random targets in maps without much story or meaning.

P.S. About the Attack of the Saints Level... that was I think one of the biggest missions in that game! So many targets to take down and weaving back and forth in the dense cornfield taking down those latex clad Saints was so nerve wracking and wickedly fun! I think they were a whole 6-7 of them in that level that had to be eliminated. SA, SO on that level was a beast of a task!

Been playing Hitman 3 for almost 3 weeks now and enjoying it a whole lot. The levels in Hitman 2 (2018) were IMO much better though. My favorite levels so far are Dartmoor and Chongqing (China). Dartmoor brought back some memories of the Beldingford Manor level from Hitman Contracts. It really is a well planned level and very stylishly decadent. The architectural layout of the Manor is so beautiful. Also, the family dynamics and stories in the level really add to the overall experience while exploring and playing through it.

Chongqing China is another level I like (barring the last section where you have to hack the core) because that just feels tedious. Good thing that you only need to do that section in your first play-through of the level and then it's entirely optional in your next runs of the level. Since I like to do each level multiple times, experimenting different tactics and approaches. This level in certain parts also made me recollect the Chinatown levels from Contracts and Hitman: Codename 47 which I loved so much back in the day!

The only level so far I did not quite like is the one in Berlin. I could get used to the open sandbox style the developers went for here but it's just the sheer number of targets ruins it for me. Luckily one can complete the mission with eliminating half the targets on the map!

I'm yet to complete all the missions because I'm currently doing the Challenges and Feats for each level to reach Level 20 Mastery in every one of them. Doing all the Assassination Challenges in particular really opens up the game much more because you can then experiment and deviate from the set story pieces in each level. That's when the true Hitman-esque feel starts to come!

I have been making some videos of my gameplay so thought of sharing them:

I have been trying the sniper approach from the roof of the mansion in the Dartmoor level but facing an issue while trying to achieve a Silent Assassin rating. Whenever I snipe Alexa from the mansion’s roof the Undertaker always sees Alexa’s body in the grave and immediately the game triggers a "Body Found’ message which kills the SA rating.

I have made a video of my play-through of this level on Master Difficulty and here is the link to it:

From the above video of my game-play you can see I even took out the personal bodyguard of Alexa Carlisle beforehand because otherwise he also follows her to the graveyard. Negating him decreases the chance of Alexa’s body being found (but alas, the Undertaker spots the body each time anyways). I have noticed however that if the personal bodyguard is not taken out before Alexa visits the grave then sometimes after you take the sniper shot to eliminate Alexa when she stands near the open grave a “Bullet Impact Noticed” alert pops up. That particular alert can also more often than not pop up when you are shooting the bird nests on the trees in the graveyard from the roof. I don’t however think that alert ruins the SA Rating in anyway. I usually only shoot the nests when the Undertaker walks away from the open grave area. He can also notice the bullet impact in the trees. Before I take the shot to eliminate Alexa I first shoot the foreground area to distract the Undertaker. When he turns around I shoot Alexa. If you see closely the Undertaker actually runs away from the grave after I shoot Alexa but after a few minutes I think he walks back to that area and that’s when he looks into the grave and spots Alexa’s body.

Currently, haven't been able to figure out a way to get Silent Assassin (SA) Rating in this Mansion Roof Sniper approach. I think this is a bug that prevents you from attaining the SA Rating. I have also asked this on the dedicated Hitman Forum online and awaiting replies.

@Ethan_Hunt: Mate, are you around here anymore? I just finished Hitman 3 finally. Did all the challenges, feats and made multiple videos of my gameplay. Spent more that 100+ hours on it! Enjoyed the game thoroughly.

I now want to go back and replay Hitman 2 again and make some videos of it.

I’m almost done with Hitman 1.

Is a very nostalgic experience since I’m playing the series since Hitman 2:Silent Assassin.

Apart from the bone chilling background scores….everything seems on point.

Good to know someone else is also playing Hitman. Rest of the world is either clocking hours on Starfield or Cyberpunk.

Be sure to play Hitman 2 and 3 as well. Beautifully made levels and tons of different ways to accomplish the objectives on each level so you'll be putting in a lot of thought into it. Be sure to do the Challenges (Assassination and Feats in particular) because once you start doing them the game truly opens up and shines.

Got the vintage Hitman Codename 47 Suit by completing all 5 Challenges in the "Codename 47 Challenges" pack which was recently added for the game in the latest update:

Those who played the first Hitman game, Codename 47 which was released in the year 2000 will instantly recall this signature suit and character model! You can replay any mission in the game with this model for that nostalgic feel. :)

I didn't know that you could make her commit suicide 🤣.

I remember i killed her in 3 ways - Push her off the roof , push her in the grave and good old fibre wire . And then moved on to another level. The freedom to kill your in different ways really enhances the replayability of Hitman games 😀
