Kohli now has the joint-most number of wins as India captain, tying for 27 wins with MS Dhoni. He has also gone past Saurav Ganguly for most away wins as India captain (12).

and he should go ahead in next match itself...

This year, we have all easy fixtures. Test matches
We play SA at home next.
The current SA team sucks, should beat them 4 0.
Then we play Bangladesh.

Its a possibility

Virat has won 12 out of 28 games.

Ganguly has on 11 out of 26 :majesty:

We dint have a bowling unit like this and hardly won away at that time.. Great record considering the circumstances.

Excellent spell of fast bowling. Didn't understand why our "world class" captain took Bumrah off. When someone is bowling a spell like that, you let them bowl unchanged.

The match was over.

Y bowl him. Need to manage his work load.

What workload? This is a Test match. Bowlers are expected to bowl 15-20 overs a day. Here Bumrah had bowled only 4 overs either side of tea. Fresh enough for other 4 (which would have been enough to finish the match, and possibly give him a couple more wickets).

You manage workload of a bowler by resting him from pointless bilateral ODIs, and rotating in Tests if it is a long season. Bumrah already got that rest. You cannot pick a bowler for a match and then attempt to rest him by not giving him overs. This innings ended in 2 hours, no question of workload.

There was no need to bowl him.
What difference will it make, winning by 300 runs or 350 runs.

No reason to bowl him? That's a very meaningless statement. By that logic there was no reason to bowl any of the strike bowlers. He could have himself come on to to bowl in that case. We would have won anyways, even if it would have taken 2 sessions more.

If Kohli wanted to finish the match and go back as quickly as possible, he should have bowled Bumrah.

300 and 350 may not look different but it is always a great feeling to bowl someone under 100. We had a chance to get them all out under a 50. That's a chance no captain should give up on, let alone this self-proclaimed aggressive captain. In times when he could have should intent, he has always been meek. And there was no reason to change him. 4 overs is a ODI spell. Looked like a bowling change just for the sake of it.

Did Bumrah want to give up the ball and pointlessly field for an hour more? I don't think so.

There'll be lot of reasons. He did his job.
Sometimes you want other bowlers also to get wickets.

There's a sehwag's interview, where he tells an incident,  MS took him off the attack after he picked 3 wickets in a test match, against SA in
When he confronted MS as to y he was taken off, he told him he wanted Piyush Chawla to get some wickets and have some confidence for the next match.

Kohli has typically used bowlers for 4 overs spells to keep them fresh, in this case Bumrah had already got a fiver, so better to let other get some match practice too. What is more disappointing is Jadeja not able to pick a wicket, and getting belted by #9. I am a big fan of him playing the T20 and ODI but for tests i think it makes sense to have ashwin instead.

I don't feel any need to rest a bowler who has bowled only 4 and looks like he will take a wicket every time he runs up to bowl. Match was going to end soon enough so Bumrah could have bowled 3 or 4 more overs. No question of burnout here.

Jadeja is a fine Test bowler in the subcontinent, Ashwin is a better choice if we have to pick only one spinner.

I think he wanted Jaddu to pick up a wicket which he failed to do so. It was a baffling choice to pick him instead of Ashwin in the first place. I think Ashwin should be picked for next one.

ICC have handed life bans to Hong Kong cricketers Irfan Ahmed and Nadeem Ahmed whereas their teammate Haseeb Amjad has copped a five-year ban for breaching the Anti-Corruption Code. The ICC Tribunal heard evidence that all three players "fixed or contrived to fix matches" and "failed to disclose approaches to fix during a number of international fixtures across a two-year period".

With the fixers finding it harder than ever before to penetrate the highest levels of the game, we are increasingly seeing them turn their attention to other avenues in the sport...
