Extremely sad to hear
Only culprit here is the management and the authorities. A team just won something big after 18 years so its natural crowds will come in large numbers. sh*t arrangements and crowd control. Precious lives lost because of a management failure
This blame is more on crowd then on government, BTP already had posted that there is no parade, no free entry and avoid that area between 3 to 8, but public just being dumb like always. It just took me one second to decide not to go when I saw the crowd at Vidhan souda, it was crazy, and I was sure it will be 15X at stadium. Sometimes people need to value there own life, but life is obviously cheap in India.
Also it is easy to control a crowd in cricket match and Concert as they already know from long, and they can anticipate the crowd, usually it can be anticipated to 1.5X of total seating capacity, in this case no one had clue how many would turn up.
Also it was extremely stupid as you said to do it next day, hardly giving authorities time to make arrangements, I will rate this 75% public stupidity and 25% authorities, they on there side atleast cancelled the open bus parade!
This hero worship culture in India is just too much, took the entire sheen away from the victory.
