Expedition 33 is an AA Game with a much smaller budget & Price Tag. Startup studios with little backing are the ones usually taking upfront money from M$ for Day1 GP releases. Comparing that with SquareEnix’s Mainline Final Fantasy game is blasphemous. Big Publishing Houses which can fund their games well usually have no interest in GamePass. Bobby Kotick already explained in oath that it makes Zero monitory sense for big names to release day1 onto subscriptions as of the current scenario. M$ themselves are looking for day1 sales revenue on PS & Switch & you still are stuck up on the thought that Subscription revenue is of any significance

All 3rd parties should choose xbox to make deals with ,get that upfront money for development and release on gamepass as well as other platforms day 1 including ps and pc. A win win for all the parties involved and the gamers irrespective of the platform they choose. developers dont have to worry about anything then as long as the game is good eg . Expedition 33 which has sold extremely well by going down this path. Making deals with ps doesn’t make much sense if your goal is to reach maximum day 1 audience and cash in on the hype.
