MarketTantrik
Eidos trademarks 'Tomb Raider Underworld' From Joystiq _________________________________________________ With Kane & Lynch a little tied up at the moment with the Gerstmann caper, we turn our attention to former Eidos darling Lara Croft, who's been making some strides back to prominence with her past two excellent games. It seems that when she returns, it may be under the banner of "Tomb Raider Underworld," a phrase Eidos has just registered for use in "video game software" and strategy guides. You're probably thinking that the phrase will be the title for the next Tomb Raider game, and we doubt that you're that far off. After Tomb Raider Legacy Legend and Tomb Raider Anniversary, we'll just be happy to have a sub-title that doesn't sound like it wants to sell us insurance. __________________________________________________

STICK3Rboy
http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/841/841695p1.html Underworld Early Details Leaked The January issue of Play magazine will unveil Lara Croft's next adventure, possibly titled Tomb Raider Underworld. The issue was apparently made available as a digital download from Play's website yesterday but has since been taken down. Tomb Raider Chronicles got their hands on the issue before it was removed and have shared the first details -- along with a cover scan that shows Play might be confused as to what a "next-generation console" is. Tomb Raiders Legend and Anniversary have both been released on current-gen consoles. Underworld takes place after Legend. Play says developer Crystal Dynamics is focusing on creating an environment "that reacts and remembers." Lara leaves footprints in the mud, but they might be washed away by rain. When she kneels, that knee will be covered in dirt that will gradually dissipate. Any bodies she drops will stay where they lie. IGN contacted Eidos to confirm these details but was given a "no comment." Tomb Raider Underworld is currently scheduled for a 2008 release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Look for IGN's preview soon.
