^^ i thought crytek developed the cryengine3 specifically for the consoles to bring crysis1 to the xbox360 and the ps3. I have a feeling tht crysis2 will be dumbed down for the pc.

No doubt about it. Like Afty said in another thread, here's a sequel that will actually look worse than the first game...

why because its coming to the consoles?? i think not. While Crysis was out on the PC ,most ppl couldnt play it on the highest settings and details, they had to prolly turn of AA and play at medium details.

Good optimization and u might have a better looking game than the first one with even less toll on hardware.....but we'll never know until the actual game comes out.....

Heh cant say I blame Crytek.

My biggest problem is that Cryengine 3 for consoles looks inferior to Cryengine 2 for PC. So if all three versions of the game get made using the same (i.e. Cryengine 3) us PC users will be screwed.

BTW here is a small comparision between CE 2 and 3. You can quite easliy see that CE2 look a lot better. Its more colorfull, has better textures, more stuff on screen, better water details etc. All of that on high. Smack it up to very high/ultra and the differance is massive.

I'll bet that CryEngine 3 on the PC will have modes which will turn on all the bells and whistles that can only be accomplished on PCs while the standard modes will be used for the consoles and for low / mid range PCs

crysis on co-op jus seems like a dream come true.....but i hope that if they bring it up .....they bring it up for pc as well....as for l4d.....the console versions had a split screen co-op but pc version didn't......(users are using some unusual way to tap open the split co-op using consoles now)

Or maybe, they'll introduce a masked, mute character who doesnt speak or reveal his face throughout the game. He just powers up and rips enemies in two with his bare hands.

Or maybe with a crowbar :(

sigh! noone caught your reference..

/looks for old rusty crowbar in attic ,to beat to pulp first GI-ian in sight.
