The Xbox Series X|S thread
Mysteryman replied to Heaven Angel's topic in News, Rumours and Discussions
There is an endless stream of sexism and harassment cases in the creative industry. CoVid is not the only problem. Employee satisfaction/turnover seems to be a bigger crisis than COVid. -

Even with a big budget, he no longer wants to direct/develop games anymore which he reiterate multiple times. He will give that budget to someone one/mentee. -

As expected, they only have one major game - Starfield this year. Sales will pick up then. -
Even with CoVid gone, Playstation is not going to invest big in physical events to promote upcoming games. Moving on to digital streams like random SOPs and a showcase once a year. They do take part in third party events like the Game Awards but it is rare. Maybe a small kiosk/space in some events like GDC to reveal/promote a hardware. Of course they will still market games heavily, just that the strategy has changed. More like they will market a first party game heavily on or just before release.
-
Further evidence that Sony won’t have physical events to showcase games anymore.
-
Likewise. It will take time. For example, Ghost of Tsushima DLC was announced one year later. I think development of the DLC depends on the sales of the main game. Frozen Wilds was announced 6 months and released 9months after Zero dawn release date on Feb 2017. Sell your game and buy it again once DLC drops. Keep your saves as DLC difficultly may be higher and unlocked at a later point.

Those pictures are not from this Oscars.

Could also be a publicity stunt for some attention to a dying awards show which awards movies based on reservations than merit. I can’t remember the last time I saw a Best Picture. And when I do, these dialogue heavy movies are soooo boring that it is a struggle to watch them full.
-
Hmm. It’s difficult to say if it is staged or not. Wills apparently love his family too much even though the breaches of trust from his wife and his idiot and spoiled children. Could be staged to show as the knight of shining armor to his wife.

Really? My preowned copy of HFW and R&C do not have it. Yes they are accepted. Only scratches are an issue for them. They won’t bother checking them (I guess too much time to load them in the respective console and wait if they work unlike the hardware)
-
No, at least for the time being i think. Need some sales first. Just like Final fantasy remake.
-
Most people would not bother taking these steps for something insignificant. Though it is straight out vandalism of the discs. Difficult to prove such scratch claims. Best is not to buy from GL again unless you’re really desperate.
-
Yes, however the value of the disc falls drastically if scratched as it is difficult to resell.
-
Aside from a sticker, GL put a stamp on the discs so they are non-removable. CeX also have a strict policy not to accept discs with scratches.

Release date: October 5, 2018 Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One Publisher: Ubisoft Genre: Action/Adventure 1. Choose your character Assassin's Creed: Odyssey lets you choose who to play as. You pick between Kassandra, the female protagonist, or Alexios, the male protagonist, both of whom are descendants of Leonidas I, the famous king of Sparta during the Second Persian War. The choice won't really affect the game that much, but it allows players to further personalize their experience. 2. New combat abilities Odyssey spices up the series' combat with new special abilities. During any given fight, you build up an ability meter that can be spent on a handful of abilities like a powerful Spartan kick that sends enemies flying, a ranged attack that allows you to nock several arrows in a single shot, and a melee move where you steal your enemy's shield and bash them with it. 3. Boats are back in a big way Taking a note from Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, naval warfare is back, baby. With the Aegean Sea at your fingertips, it's only natural that ship battles are a feature of the landscape. You can build up a crew, take down pirate ships, board other boats, and kick enemies into the sea to watch them get eaten by sharks. 4. Choices matter Your input and behavior in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey has a big impact on the game. During the main storyline and in side quests, players will be able to make decisions about how to tackle certain predicaments and who they form positive and negative relationships with. These decisions will even have an impact on how the game ends. 5. Mercenaries Odyssey has its own system of checks and balances with the inclusion of mercenaries. Because there is no formal police service in Greece, citizens will employ mercenaries to take out people who have wronged them, including you. 6. Big battles Odyssey takes place during the Peloponnesian War, which means there will be large-scale battles like the series has never seen before. Players can help Spartan armies fight back against Athenians in these battles by taking out random soldiers as well as key commanders and heroes to turn the tide of the war in Sparta's favor.
