So Super excited for this game. Zombies for life.
The Walking Dead, Left 4 Dead 1,2, Last Of Us and now Dying Light...Hell Ya

So Dying light has confirmed 1080p/30 fps on the ps4. Xbox one is still an unknown.

Maciej Binkowski answered some questions on ask.fm

Q.Do not you think that 7 minutes at night is very bad ? How about 15 or 20?
Ans.) Duration of night is a result of many playtests. Longer duration of night resulted in players frustration and avoiding night gameplay. We don't want that.

Please understand - night gameplay is really intensive. Even with 7 minutes only players look forward to see the sun rising up :)

And This Sounds Good

Q.) Why did you remove flashlight batteries?
Ans.) Dying Light is an action survival game. One of the things that we believe defines survival experience is limited resources. Health does not regenerate. You need to find medkits or consumables or craft a medkit yourself. Weapons degrade and break as you use them. You need to find metal parts to fix them.
We assumed flashlight should be limited resource as well. When used it should deplete energy and when it gets drained completely you should have to replace the batteries - which of course you have to find first.
This is what we implemented at the start. You had to be careful when using your flashlight - save it for the times you really need it. But as we playtested we discovered balancing problems. If it was too easy to find batteries players would not care about them at all. If it was too difficult to find them players would end up without source of light rendering game very difficult to play. In the end, players got forced to look for batteries which felt like a tedious task because instead of focusing on whatever they wanted to do they had to scavenge for supplies.
We decided to drop the batteries and replace it with a rechargeable flashlight. This felt like a good idea but we discovered that every time the flashlight got depleted, players would just wait aimlessly for it to regenerate and then continue their activities. It felt bad. So in the end we decided that the flashlight should work indefinitely. You still need to be careful when using it at night - not to attract attention from the night creatures - but you don't have to worry about it getting depleted. You can use it whenever you need it and just keep playing the game the way you want to play it.

^They could have implemented a torch system like the Metro Redux series. It's perfect IMO.

Not too much, but you need to plan ahead of time and manually recharge the batteries (by pumping) before going into battlezone!
