Ps- I'll upload my first experience about both the games to my YouTube channel EuphoricGaming

Excellent. Don't forget to share your PSN ID and if possible do take part in community events.

Ultimate Team in FIFA. Honestly, it is extremely addicting and competitive than ever.

1. You will see Messi or Ronaldo once in 1 in 100+ matches. Sometimes even less and usually around TOTY/TOTS release. That's how rare and expensive they are. Even with the price range, they take a long time to get, unless you are super-duper-ultra lucky with packs.

2. UT runs on currency (coins). You get coins by playing matches and from other stuff. It has own market and it is controlled by users. You can list, sell and buy players and other stuff (stadiums/balls/kits, etc). This is where the whole mode shines and keeps things super interesting as you can bid players you want and track them. Start from a small cheap team, try various squads, countries, clubs, and slowly build your way to your dream team. You cannot simply buy all top players easily. Each has their own price range and you need to play and collect coins to buy.

3. If you are not into online, UT also has single player seasons where you can still play against AI and win rewards. This allows players to learn and also build more teams and rotate.

4. SBC - these are squad building challenges which you can complete for a special card. This was added last year and has been widely appreciated by the community. Very well done.

5. Weekend league - brutal, sweaty and competitive. You have 40 matches and the more you win, the more you get. This resets every week. Extremely good addition to UT.

6. Squad battles - this year's new addition. This is basically like weekend league but against AI. Great because you can choose the AI difficulty as per your liking and still get rewards accordingly. This also allows users to play casually and also get better at the game as Ultimate AI difficulty is quite a challenge.

7. Apart from that, there is online division, random tournaments, draft mode (where you draft players and compete).

8. There is also weekly INFORM players. When a player in real life does well, they receive a new card in-game. Example: Messi scored 3 goals today. He will get a new card on Wednesday. The requirement also increases so that players in real life don't get it every week. Kind of makes the mode alive and not dead with same base cards that were revealed at launch. We also have special cards on special occasions along with traditional legends, TOTY & TOTS.

Playing UT since 2013 and purchased Messi from the market only once. They are already limited and it took me around 1.1 million coins to get him. Was worth it and the whole journey felt like a challenge. AJDAkq7.png

Give it try. It's a lot of fun. Both on casual and hardcore levels. No wonder it is most played mode on FIFA.

Interesting.. Though I think most of the features are in pes too with different names but I am hopeful with fifa 18.

Sending you my psn ID in pm.  Just tell me in friend request you are Joe from IVG.

Yeah but no market and the fact everyone runs with Messi & Ronaldo kind of kills any fun. Might as well just play a normal season against Real Madrid / Barcelona over and over again.

Anyways, see you in FIFA. The demo should be out by this week. HccW24K.png

Since FIFA demo didn't go live, I went ahead and downloaded the demo. Played few matches and here is how I felt:

The gameplay was rather very slow. It felt like giving too much room to toy with AI at first. When I notched up the difficulty or took a lead, the AI started playing aggressively and if felt good.

The sprint difference between players didn't have any sort of difference. They all ran about the same level. In fact, didn't feel any sort of sprinting or pace in the gameplay.

The presentation was okay. Better than I expected and I had a really low expectation. The stadium looked decent and the pitch wasn't too shabby.

The playstyle gave more freedom to play as I desired and it was good. Some through balls and long passes were great and looked natural. Example: through ball didn't automatically move into players direction but rather was floaty and the player had to make a run for it.

CPU AI was good but player AI(?) wasn't up to the part. I know I should control my players but even then most of the time found my defenders leaving a huge gap.

The commentary wasn't available in the demo. Looked up some videos and sadly it wasn't good. Felt like worse than before.

The team management and overall UI could really use an upgrade. It felt like playing 2004 game.

That said, it was very a decent experience. But I usually play online so have to wait and see how it is. Single player mode can be some fun against AI.

Waiting for PC demo. Should be out today-tomorrow?

If playing a football game online is your primary thing, I'd say FIFA is ahead by a long-shot. Just the sheer amount of content that FIFA has, simply takes the cake. Plus their awesome netcode.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying online modes in PES are bad (and PES have improved their netcode a lot over the years as well), but personally, I feel FIFA is better between the two, simply in terms of the online experience.

Having said that, I'm super excited about the new 3v3 mode in PES2018. I'll be honest, I was initially skeptical about the idea, but when I played it in the Beta, I absolutely loved the experience. So, I'm looking forward to that.

^^The game isn't available in some Asian countries for some reason. At least at the moment, it isn't available in Japan, Malaysia, India, China.

Store page. No release date. No timer. No demo.

@VelivolusDas - yeah, one reason I usually end up spending more time on FIFA. Also, PC version of PES online has been a very bad experience. This time they promised PC version will be same or better than the console version, so here's hoping.

Are you planning to get FIFA too? Or just PES 18?

This year, FIFA too. Which one gets most of my time, remains to be seen.

Neymar on the cover, in those colours? Really?

Konami need to do something to change that.

Retail copies will ship with Suárez cover alone. The special editions are likely to have a change as they were made before the transfer.

PC demo is out now. Played few matches. Finally, it is same as the console version.

PC online seems to be offline at the moment.
