You can increase the limit to 5 by upgrading the trap pouch. You can either kill animals or get the ingredients at a specific merchant. There are reasons for the limits in powerful ammos. Having one of the 3 traps just automatically disappear/trigger if you place a fourth feels so fake. That's my complaint. Not a major issue ofcourse.
