At least Horizon pulls numbers on GP, and sold well on Steam, and even PS after 5 year late release. Motorsport 8 meanwhile flopped on Steam with less than 5K peak numbers and even GP users didn't bother logging in. Turn10 only works on Motorsport, if MS is cutting costs, Turn10 was easily one of the low hanging fruits to grab.

Can’t believe he’s been put to handle Activision-Blizzard & Zenimax when he couldn’t even get a single game out the door in good shape & literally everything was fake development under his nose. Latest Being Perfect Dark & Everwild….none of the second party deals he made showed success either….latest being Contraband. The list just goes on & on…. Halo dead….ForzaM dead & now he’s going to kill mega franchises from Acti-Blizz & Bethesda!! Don’t really know what fascination he brings out of the top management & the lowest of low level Bots!!

AI is one thing. On the other hand GP is clearly not bringing in enough subs, nor making any or enough money to keep funding these expensive first party games. Its not surprising MS forced Xbox to go third party, and now shutting many of their studios and games in dev hell. Almost 100Billion investment, pouring money in some games that's been in development for ages and nothing to show for it. Makes sense that they're delving into AI, cutting losses and trying to make xbox turn profit for a change. Downside we'll see more layoffs, 9000 was just for now. Same guy who leaked Xbox games going to PS long before everyone else, said there will be more layoffs as they integrate AI into more departments.

As a GaaS title, they should have done this sooner, though I doubt there'll be many takers as it's not on GP, maybe a small bump in overall player numbers. As for the rest, no point developing an Xbox port when the PC port will run on Xbox consoles in future. Performance will probably be shitty considering its single config unlike PC but at this point Xbox users should be grateful they're getting games when so many of their own got canceled.
