Most of the 60fps games on the market have variable framerate including IW developed cod games or RnC and secondly some of those game even downgrade the resolution to hit 60fps . They just don't mention it. GOW is true 720, hits 60fps and does effects that only 30fps games like UC2 or kz2 do. But I think we're being a bit hypocritical in saying "Oh it will look great in 720p, we don't need 1080p". Granted it may be the truth and I definitely think that 720p is enough provided GOW3 still looks awesome (and I sure do believe it will), but it somehow seems to go against the average IVGian character when people aren't bashing the game for providing a full HD experience. The difference between 30 fps and 60 fps will be noticeable to the naked eyes, but will not cause stutters and therefore should not affect gameplay. The game can upscale to 1080p.And none of the previous God of War games played on the PS2 suffered from big annoying frame rate dips.So Sony Santa Monica would definitely look into the issue every current gen ps3 game can upscale to 1080p.
