Paranoid Android v0.5 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1662802 for the most customizable experience on Note. Generally referred to as PA ICS / PA CM9 on this thread :P .

Flash the Hydracore kernel again after flashing the ROM (as the ROM will replace the kernel with its own).

aaaaanddddd... done. PA v0.5 installed with latest cm9 kernel 9.1.0. Piper

Glad to help.

If you feel any kind of lag in responsiveness, flash latest Hydracore kernel, it'll then be very smooth and responsive.

I agree..I don't see why people gang up on folks not installing custom ROMs. Even I don't flash any custom ROMs right now. Lived with stock nexus one for almost 2.5 years and now a month with the stock GN. If you are happy with the stock ROM, then so be it. And that's the benefit of Android that you can do crazy ton of stuff without flashing custom ROMs.

Guys, I am using Galaxy Nexus and added all the contacts via Gmail account. Some contacts have the birthday info provided as well, but the birthdays are not being added to the calendar automatically. Not sure if this is how it is with Android.

I used Windows Phone before this and all the birthdays would get added to the calendar by itself. Is there a way to get the same done on Android too?

EDIT: Sorry Guys. Found the solution: Syncing Gmail Contacts Birthdays and Events with Google Calendar

Pretty useful if someone was not aware of it already, like me :P

Especially with stock JB on the GN you don't really need anything else.
