  1. If settling your insecurities without harming anyone makes you confident, what's wrong ? People go to much more lengths to feel comfortable under their skin. Really nothing wrong with it. Why should we be judging as long as she is happy with it ? The psychosocial impact of aesthetic improvement is MASSIVE. Proven through multiple research. Infact you find impact on almost every scenario of life, including economic, perception by self, perception by others etc. There are multiple studies using validated questionnaires which substantiate this (and questionnaires need around a million USD or more just to get validated for trial use).

  2. It is a little late to make this thread now but there's still plenty of time til the end of the season. I already play FPL with a few fellow IVG members on WhatsApp I thought maybe there are other IVG members as well who have made a team. I would share details and add tables here, in case anyone interested in joining our league. - To add more fun, I have made a monthly performance table and the best performer gets "Manager of the Month" award. - I am not sure whether FPL's official system will add points earned in the previous Gameweeks [GW1-GW17], if someone joins in GW18. However, if anyone joins us now with their team which they had made between GW1-GW17, I will manually add their points. So, no need to worry about joining late and losing points. - Even if no new members join, I will still keep updating the tables with current members - All new players must confirm their registrations here in the thread before joining this league on FPL website because it's only open for IVG members. ------------------------------- Tables: Monthly Performances Classic League H2H League H2H Fixtures/Results

  8. Not sure whether you know or not but every fund has similar transparency with monthly disclosures emails. @KunjanPSD Which funds have you shortlisted? @rushab oswal I have invested in Quant for more than 1.5 years I had invested in bulk and it has produced very good returns of 17%

  9. All my family funds (including mine) goes to PPFAS. I do have some others too but i gotta say I love PPFAS. Never seen its name in new age startup’s, sticks to core principles and outright transparency with monthly disclosures. Also heard good things about quant recently, though none of my money is invested. every other fund went out to buy paytm, but not Parkih ?

  10. Yes. Even if the product is not marketed for fairness, I know that many products are used for it. Most decent aesthetic/FMCG companies don't even promote fairness or lightness anymore - it's a taboo where I work - and we proud ourselves in really representing all skin types (including all communication materials), but the end user does use many products for fairness (which is a by product of some devices, or target for some drugs like glutathione). Of course, can't speak for smaller operators and companies since majority would do anything to make a sale. Edit: There's of course a growing number of people who don't want to change skin color, so tides are changing, slowly

  11. I never knew she made so many changes. Also changing skin colour to become fair is borderline racism which seems to be freely accepted in Indian society. The guy be like Modern problems require modern solutions

  15. a) Go to Comic Con b) Realise you are nearly a 40-year old uncle in a sea of 20-somethings in the entire comic con c) Get awkward and run for a safe nostalgic space to find other uncles d) The space turns out to be Raj Comic booths with both Sanjay and Manish ji chatting and signing copies e) Spend buttloads of money on nostalgia and childhood fantasy f) Profit ?? What's good to see is the old Raj Comics are not just thriving, but with the English translations, the have opened up worlds for new readers (most are still the nostalgia kids though). I do find the compilations confusing, with overlapping stories etc, and the cost is mind boggling expensive for what use to be 7 INR for a paperback, and 15/20 INR for "digests" back in the heydays. The stickers etc are decently done, but the binding of these CEs need work - major work. They don't seem strong to me, and the boxes look good, but "feel" cheap. Anyway, picked up Naagayan CE, with tons of extra stuff, Khajana and Dracula series (some of their best works), Rajnagar ki Tabahi (one of the first Indian comics to mix video games and superheroes) and a bunch of newly written stuff - ofcourse all in Hindi since I just can't read these awesomeness in any other language. I also like what they have done with the limited editions, with embossed lettering etc. Sad to see both the Guptas go their own way - many stories are published by both camps, and it is MEGA CONFUSING what is included in which collected editions. They just made reading a childhood comic 100x more difficult.
