RealMe 9 Pro Plus. A real value for budget with positive reviews of both content creators and users.

The phone is much better than Samsung A series and competes with flagship phones in terms of performance and camera features. It also do not heat up with heavy gaming.

The 60 watt charger can fully charge the phone in 40 minutes.

I am looking forward to upgrading to this phone next month.

iPhone 14, Exactly same as expected

Even camera and battery are same

Not unexpected. This will be the ongoing strategy for a few years now. Apple is just being a dick now to increase shareholder value (given that's the first priority of any publicly listed company).

ya dick move, atleast should have given A16 to differentiate at some level. Just upgraded front camers i suppose.

Checked the benchs ? Old wine in new bottle. Around 17% improvements as best case.

I do expect i15 to be the real deal. A17 should be on 3nm node, providing jump in both performance and efficiency.

Edit: Also, Apple does not allow the 1 HZ LTPO screen beyond the lock screen. Lol. Not even while reading. Another dick move.

Edit 2: https://www.macrumors.com/2022/09/16/iphone-14-pro-lightning-usb-2-speeds/

I've fair share of lightning port stuff at my house, so i don't mind the port per se, but the terrible transfer speeds.

I dont think the slower transfer speeds are going to be a problem for many people. E.g. I haven’t done any wired transfers for the last probably 10 years or so.

But how are you transferring/backing up 4K videos and PRORAW stuff ?
For example, while I do have Google One, I also keep an offline storage of all photos and videos. Transferring large files is a pain in the a*s with USB 2.

Everything is auto transferred up to NAS over wifi. If I need to really transfer files back and forth directly anytime then kde connect (over wifi)

I'm a tech noob, man. No NAS, definitely no KDE or Linux. Attach wires, transfer stuff. Just need USB 3 or better. Simple enough to work.

Wires for transferring pics or other stuff is passé. Use iPhone as FTP server through Files app and enjoy fast wireless file transfers

Lemme try this. How is this different from transferring stuff via Wi-Fi over itunes for specific apps ? Or using wifi file transfer via app links (like 192.168.xx.xx) ? Because they are pretty slow for me (7-9 MBps only).

KDE connect works on iOS/macOS/Windows as well :D

It started off as a KDE app, but has graduated into a cross platform one since quite some time.

Switch to Android then :P

It's very fast with USBC.

Like others said you need some general file transfer app that sends between your phone to PC/NAS using WiFi

Also you get plug and play NAS dabbas if you're willing to fork out the cash, range from ~20k( 2 HDD bays ) to ~50k( 4 HDD bays )

I’m an Android guy contemplating switching to iOS, just because. No specific use case.
And yeah, NAS is expensive. Gave it a thought multiple times, but backed off due to cost. Already have more than 20 TB of data, and moving all those to NAS means getting more HDDs, more money.

Just tried this to copy stuff between iPhone and Pixel. Flawless. Thanks for the recommendation !

@Overlord: How do you do the Files to FTP server ? Can't find anything on Files app. Or do you mean running a server via another app ? I use Chunky comic reader to transfer a few gigs every week, and it allows wifi transfer through a local web page, but that maxes out at 5-8 MBps.

I don’t think the transfer speed is shown anywhere but here’s how you do it. Just using the native Files app and basic FTP server
