harsh1387
Rahane form is a worry. If he can't score on this pitch against this attack this gonna be real bad for him in SA.Anyone following Ashes? Aussies coMpletely owned the Brits.Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using Tapatalk
Banz
Rahane also didn't do well in the Ranji matches this season. Three complete failures and one alright performance.
silentassassin
Rahane has to perform next match. Else he'll surely be dropped.. Rohit was brought in to the team, for the same reason. They wanted to give him some match practice..
silentassassin
Mayank Agarwal is in some crazy form this Ranjhi season. Its still group stage and he has already scored 1000+ runs. Bhuvi should hv been rested for SL ODI's Need him fresh for the SA tour. No point him playing against SL

For some reason fans always call for his head whenever he underperforms, even when he was doing well on the away tours he never seemed to have cemented his place in the eyes of some people. He will atleast play the SA series and unless he performs extremely poorly I don't think the question of dropping him will come up.
harsh1387
I think this is the best chance for us to get a win in SA. Historically we always had a weak spot, batting or bowling wasn't at par. Especially we never had such in form pace attack. Bhuvi, Shami, Yadav and now Ishant as a back up. Dare say this is the best pace bowling attack we have ensembled on an away tour. This time both departments are in excellent form. Hopefully Rahane may get some runs in next match as his performance outside india is great and we need him in form.Kohli should play SL Odis cos he needs to stay in touch. harsh1387
His form has become a real concern now. I got a hunch he will be benched and Nohit will play as Hardik is an automatic choice at 6 followed by Saha etc.Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using Tapatalk
SRINI87
I think kohli could reach 400 at this pace

Black_Hawk
India pacer Jasprit Bumrah has received his maiden Test call-up, while Parthiv Patel has been selected as the back-up wicketkeeper for the three-match Test series in South Africa. Squad: Virat Kohli (c), Murali Vijay, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane (vc), Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Parthiv Patel, Jasprit Bumrah. harsh1387
Great move getting bhumrah in. Will prefer this line up - shami, umesh, bhuvi, ishant/bhumrah instead of Hardik. Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using Tapatalk
Banz
England showing some fight. Well bowled Anderson, unfortunately target is still too high. England should take this slow. Enough time to chase down target, one good partnership can win them this match. Meanwhile not too surprising to see Rahane being sent early. But team management should refrain from chopping and changing too much when dealing with an out of form player. What if he fails (as he almost did with that lbw shout)? They tried the same with Rohit who batted at many different positions, finally they played him back at 6 and he started scoring again.
harsh1387
And he fails again. Under no circumstances bahane should be in playing 11 in Cape town test. Bahane has no bahane now.Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using Tapatalk
AtheK
For SA, they should drop bahane and get pandya, and play bhuvi or bumrah
Banz
Those changes you mentioned have him being replaced by all rounders or bowlers. In that case it will be Rohit who will have to sit out. But I think it's best to play with 6 batsmen.
