why are these so overpriced compared to FE? 45K vs 55-60K

Because the FE is not in stock anywhere. The 3070, 3080 have really poor yields on the Samsung 8nm fab. That’s why the little stock allocation AIB get they markup the price by a lot.

This is the reason why 3060ti is more commonly available, it’s the same chip as 3070 but with a few cores disabled/faulty. All these are chips which could not make the cut for 3070.

I would suggest if you really want a 3070 and can’t wait for the FE stock to be back then just buy the cheapest 3060ti available.

Harjas has a few colourful 3060ti available at roughly 7k cheaper than 3070FE which is almost equivalent to 100$ cheaper (3060ti and 3070 have 100$ difference in the us)

You will get 12-15% worse performance but you can live with it.
