Also, EA's core IP's are all dead thanks to their own stupid short-sighted machinations.

Just go back and see how many copies of the original STAR WARS: Battlefront they sold even after it was a rushed hack-job of a title. More than ~10 million had been moved by the release of The Force Awakens alone.

These are the same numbers they hit with titles like FIFA in two quarters (just physical).

And Battlefield takes a good part of a whole year to reach something like half those numbers (again if only counting physical).

STAR WARS is literally the easiest cash grab you can get and in-case they screw up, they have players who are okay with the bright lasers and pew-pew of STAR WARS to white knight for them.

You know very well that Andromeda was rushed and developed my ME3 multiplayer team.  Main team was working on Andromeda. Just look at Anthem and then look at Andromeda. Difference is night and day.

There's not a game right now on any platform which looks as impressive as Anthem visually. Its cear that EA putting all their best team behind Anthem.

Yeah! Everything not good is made by B-team for you.

Whatever the case was, the studio, the publisher, a combination, Andromeda was a flub and EA ran the axe. What was wrong with Dead Space or Red Alert or CnC then? Or were those games being made by B-teams too?

Every single technique, ability, fighter, and stat roll, is entirely acquired and upgraded through the loot box system.

A base level jab will do minimal damage to online opponents, however a fighter that purchases a loot box and acquires a five-star rarity level jab, will not only have a more efficient and powerful technique in combat, but will also be treated to a host of stat increases in all regards, making their player undeniably better in every scenario.

You are talking to someone who has a hackjob like Andromeda on his best games of the year list.

That was the point. :notangel:

Also, I found the reason why the EA argument about 'canon' is more horseshit, someone in LucasArts cleared this travesty,

70-75% of EA Sports players play Ultimate Team, around half (35%+) spend microtransaction money

Lmao ... Now we know why EA thought going overboard with MTs in BF2 wasn't a bad idea. They been doing it for years on a fully priced $60 Yearly title  , and it goes under the radar the whole time , Thanks Sports fans.

Well, it's there since 2009 and UT mode is very well done and only improved with each iteration.

It's been great for EA. People love UT and that's what keeping their sports games alive.

Wow, some people are deluded and seem to have no idea but would still ride the wagon. yDlAwzQ.png

Not a single UT year has been cash-grabby. What are you blabbering? Ever since launch, the UT modes have been nothing but rewarding. Each year they only got better and gave players more and more. If you don't know to play or make use of stuff available, then it's not the game issue. It's your problem.

With daily, weekly, SBCs, seasons, DKT, SB and WL, it's one of the most rewarding game mode out there. More rewarding than (pseudo wannabe) other online games.

Well the reason it flies under the radar is because the lootbox cancer is mostly contained in that one tumor. I personally never bothered with UT (or My Club in PES) and never felt like spending any extra money, its always been offline versus/co-op game with buddies for us since FIFA 02. In BF2's case that sh*t spilled out and spread over the entire progression of the game.

That's not the point though.

The perception is always that only a few few spend on MTs but they spend a lot. This data shows that a huge number of people buy them which means there is high possibility that they could creep into all AAA titles because people apparently are okay with being fita.

The insane numbers are still limited to that one mode though, so I don't really care if sheeps keep spending money on it as long as there's fence around that herd. Just don't try to fk with Star Wars fans ever again, they're not the same people.

All this talk of MT's and nobody is mentioning how Activision is doing the same with WWII and MS with FM7

FM7 still doesn't have paid lootboxes, but still got plenty of flak during its release. Same with WW2, lootbox on Normandy was butt of every joke. Even bigger outcry is against D2 though right now. People find out now that almost the entire cosmetic catalog from first DLC is locked behind gambling, even the Vex DLC armor they showed during trailers can not be earned during gameplay. The loot table locked behind paid gambling in a loot based game is so huge its shameful really.

No paid loot boxes in FM7  plus they changed how VIP membership works, you get permanent credits and xp boost now.

WW2 MT's are mostly cosmetics I think with some special legendary guns which gives you xp boost nd all.

Both are not as bad as SWBF2 nd Destiny 2.
