Shows Ashwin would have been quite handy here especially with Australia having so many lefties.. Kohli got a Peach. Gill and Pujara didn't know where there off stumps is. Novice mistake. Rohit has been out of form since sometime. Don't know when we will get proper dependable openers. Jaddu was great until misjudged a Lyon ball. Still did his job. Rahane was playing like old Rahane. Each ball on merit. Lucky escape with that no ball. Only if we had Pant and Ashwin playing my hopes for a good score would be intact. Let's see if Bharat and Thakur can support Rahane to avoid follow on atleast. Disappointing day with ball yesterday and with Bat today. Just drop your wrists, you are one of the best batsman in the world. Gill got an unplayable ball. It moved in so much when previous balls pitched at the same spot were going comfortably away from the spot. Just need to keep batting today, atleast till tea. Pitch is still good to bat on, and I don't expect that to change even on days 4 and 5. Australia won't give follow on. Raised the finger thrice and two were umpire's calls and one was an inside edge. Didn't raise the finger at all when we were bowling, and we had a few good shouts and one plumb in front. Umpiring is too biased. He didn't even think for a second before raising finger and when India was bowling he was adamant it's not out even after huge appeals. Easwaran should be tried at opening. Sarfraz should get a chance at no.5. We dint have the balls to win toss and bat first on this pitch. Ashwin should have played, but that is still okay if we batted first. This is how we are playing from quite sometime. Top order fks up. Pant & lower order will bail us out. Now without Pant we are not getting bailed out. Bowling plans are all screwed up. Head is so bad against short balls, but we dint bowl short to him.
