I was wondering what went wrong in the first 2 Tests.Vijay saved us in the first match and rahane in the 2nd .Thr so called saving graces of indian batting have utterly failed,pujara isnt as technicaly apt as some make him out to be and kohli has caught some new strain of rohit sharma syndrome. Banz Posted August 9, 2014 Report Share Posted August 9, 2014 Vijay saved us in the first match and rahane in the 2nd. Yeah it was pretty much down to individual performances. The first pitch was anyways too flat to give a result in 5 days. In the 2nd Test it was Ajinkya, Vijay and Ishant. Despite a decent performace on first 4 days, the match was very close and we only won the match in the last hour or so. Â The turning point of the came in the 2nd innings of the Southampton Test when Vijay got run out. Needlessly threw away his wicket. Both openers were to blame for this. I don't feel like watching these spineless guys play ever. Â Â If Ashwin can score runs in both the innings, what does that say about our batsmen? Saying they are out of form is just an excuse.
