is apple care worth getting

Depends on which product. Apple watch it is worth it because the watch is highly susceptible to damage and apple care can help you if the screen is damaged they essentially replace the watch so you are technically getting an almost new watch with great battery. But at the end of the day it is for peace of mind. I don't think it is worth it on something like the iPad or Mac

So i got a Macbook Air M1 like ~5 days back from Reliance Digital, also got Apple Care Plus, the store clerk said that it would be activated in 2 days time, but even today it shows "Limited Warranty" on the checkcoverage.apple.com website, I have the bill, what should i do, is this a reliance issue or something on Apple's end?

I spent 18k on the apple care plus, don't want to lose my moneys

If bought with product simultaneously, it gets tagged right at purchase (with serial number). There’s no waiting at all. Recheck with the RD guys - something’s amiss.

Yes if you’re clumsy. Also yes for watch since you’ll inevitably break the glass. Yes for AirPods Pro since you’ll inevitably block those mesh and ducts. Yes for Mac since it’s for 3 years and if you use it for 8-10 hours a day you’re battery life will get below 80% and you can get free replacement (also cheap replacements if things break).
TBH not so much for iPhone or iPad unless you’re clumsy.

My airpods starting glitching yesterday, would play music only from the left side, out them back in the case, they would work then glitxh out again.

Today it just disconnected, tried to connect but I keep getting the pairing unsuccessful message or just wouldnt connect at all.

I tried resetting the airpods, turning off/on Bluetooth, reset network settings, rebooted mu phone etc but nothing works. Sometimes it connects and then disconnects after a seconds.

I bought these 18 months ago and now this BS.

Anyone here have a fix for this or do I need to buy new ones??

Seems you’ve tried everything. No AC+ ?

This is not new.

Despite thousands of people facing this (check reddit), Apple denies any flaw in their design.

You'll have to get a new one, unfortunately.

After two years of coverage, how much will it cost to extend AC again?

I don’t think you can extend AC+ bought from India.  For certain countries, you can extend till 30 days post expiry (India ain’t on the list).

Not ideal, but highly recommend getting AC for APs. At the near of coverage expiry, go to service centre, complain about poor sound and battery life, and get a replacement. So you’re kinda set for 4 years.

Yes, AC is absolutely necessary and one should just assume it as a mandatory expense.

I think most deals have ended. There’s 2000 HDFC discount. Else get it from someone coming from abroad.

Went today to the store where i bought it from

As suggested by the Apple customer service lady and the Reliance cs call center person.

The clerk there tells me it takes 1 work-week to activate.

Anyway the day i bought this i was setting it up with apple id etc in store itself, some store staff who is the "apple wala" takes a photo of the box having a bar code + some label info about the macbook like serial number and all, and suddenly my device shows registered with purchase date and all with limited warranty etc some mins before it was "upload proof of purchase to verify purchase date"

So i find this bullshit about 2 days, 1 week etc bs.

btw how to escalate this? next one week i'm too busy with work conference related stuff so don't have the time or energy to go back to the store and argue, is sending the Reliance Digital cs an email the best way? complaining on twitter?

No clue tbh. Never has this problem as I’ve always seen it getting activated instantly after purchase even if it’s a new device. If you’ve an Apple Store nearby, why don’t you take your items (both AC and Mac box with bill) and ask them to check if AC has been used or not ? Or chat/call Apple CC online.
