kmkaks
Never Pick Seagate. I visited my local HDD specialist a couple of weeks back and was surprised that almost 90% of HDDs with him were Seagate. I had a couple bad experiences with Seagate too, so yeah Western Digital is way better IMO.

ALPHA17
^ Did you go through any of the steps I suggested? Also, check the S.M.A.R.T. status of your storage next time you can.
StormShadow
Hi, need to know which drive is better in performance - Samsung Seagate Momentus SpinPoint ST2000LM003 2TB 2.5" SATA 9.5MM vs Seagate 2TB SATA 2.5-Inch 7mm ST2000LM015. Need to replace my PS4 HDD. I got the following reply from ebay seller regarding warranty - This is an OEM item so no warranty from service centre. Two year warranty is provided by us. In case any thing goes wrong you just have to just us. You will be given some intial troubleshooting to rule out any software issue. Then you will have to get a diagnostics sheet from your local seagate service centre. Then you will be asked to ship the item back. Our certified enginners will try to repair the item. If not repairable then you will be given a new item. ^Suggestions on the same? Cheers. Edited December 28, 2016 by §†orm§hadow

It's and external HDD which has the above drive inside. The costs is 7200. If you open the external enclosure warranty becomes void. So be careful. Make sure to check your HDD on computer first by S.M.A.R.T or HDD health software. If it works then great continue to disassemble be careful in removing sata connector and install on PS4. And take PS4 HDD and put it back in enclosure. Go to PC and use data management software and format the HDD volume first then create new volume. Then format. And you can use PS4 HDD as external HDD on pc. Make sure you take ps4 backup on other drive before doing the above procedure

I know the external HDD procedure but i don't have the time or patience to do all that. Also it voids the warranty for the new HDD. I will be buying 2TB external HDD along with internal 2TB for PS4. And i already have a few external hard drives. So i don't see much use for my 500GB ps4 HDD. Might sell it off or use the casing of my old 1TB external HDD which is long dead. Cheers. Which were awesome for PC gaming. However they are good. But please note that their central console tends to not work after warranty period gets over. Their life is only 1year I think. Many have faced this problem. Edited January 1, 2017 by djanuj

Try malwarebytes once.. It is free.. If that doesn't help, then check with any friend who has Kaspersky/Norton antivirus software.. The 2 best in my experience.. Else try to create small text files in your computer and then rename it to the same name as the files already there in the PD and overwrite them using the small files.. This may help you in gaining some free space on the PD.. Edited January 3, 2017 by goDofWar_skr
