Pokemon Go audience is not the kind that would spend $300 & try to get into core stuff

Majority wont , but It has massive user base in the hundreds of millions ( more users than Google maps ) . Even if Nintendo targets just the whales ( The kind who spend hundreds on dollars on mobile games ) it would be a pretty sizable boost to NX.

Only way NX would have long legs like PSP or 3DS would be to attract developers making games for XB1/PS4

Psvita couldn't do that

Failed big time

There is no middle ground in today's age

Developers either make games for mobile or they make for console

NX won't sell more than WiiU numbers if it banks on First Party alone

Ppl consider it a success...& they are free to

But like you rightly said Nintendo can't keep chipping away to the same crowd forever

Without any 3rd party multiplat game, it would sell more than wii u. Without anu doubt and i can bet any amount on that. Monster hunter and pokemon are enough for that.

Yeah DS and 3DS were the darlings of third party exclusives. They don't need PS4/Bone downgrades to get third party support. It can continue to exist in its own parallel universe with one massive library of Nintendo portable and console games plus 3rd parties.

Exactly. Moreover, there isn't any space for a third identical/core console in the market.

Yup , it needs to have similar specs so that porting games are possible. Vita got some PS3 ports , but PS3/X360 were already on their way out at the time.

NX can do very well as a handheld , but Ninty really need to step up.

Yea that has been true since the days of Wii. Sony pushed out Sega and then MS pushed out Nintendo. They just dont have the size or money of those companies.
Portable have always been their stronghold , glad they are doubling down on that.

Looks like it will come with optional external graphics processor similar to Razor Stealth Ultra book. Razor stealth support a external dock which enhances graphics capability of the system when connected to a TV for playing graphics intensive games.

If Nintendo is using new Nvidia graphics processor then they will have no trouble beating Xbox or PS4 unless they are going for some really cheap gaming device.

BTW why are you so interested in Nintendo all of sudden? Want to play Mario, Pikmin, Pokemon nd all. :P

A new gaming system always brings interest

& no...not interested in that crap

More interested in Zelda or Bayonetta type of stuff

Bayonetta is not owned by Nintendo. Just coz Bayonetta 2 was exclusive that doesn't mean all Future games will also be exclusive plus NX is not backwards compatible. So, you won't be able to play Bayonetta 2 on it.

Ambar

So you think Pascal Tegra X2 chips will not able to beat AMD 7870?

If nintendo can secure Bayo as exclusive

there is potential that they may secure more such exclusives in future

that's what I meant

Think they'll probably aim for 900p since 60fps is given for their first party games. 900p60 is still impressive for a portable system, and if the base console at home is modular and can increase its fidelity its even better.
