yes, it may not be a AAA like the games you mentioned but good enough to give it a go. It may be an experiment and a case study where Gamepass guys quote an example of day 1 3rd party title for pitching to future game devs

also, @WhiteWolf df review said it was less clunky. I haven’t played the demo. It’s a demo, there’s a big chance of significant updates to the game based on the feedback from the demo. Also, don’t know whether you played the demo on a next gen console like PS5/XSX  - makes a huge difference compared to pro/x1x

They wrong. Cover system is bad in outriders. It just got more depth in gameplay coz of those super powers and loot system but definitely doesn't feel amazing to play like Gears and Division.

Its poor man's Gears or Division :P

And here SE is looting. Every big publisher wants to sell game for 60$

Game has more content than Division and Anthem combined...

Just because it doesn't look all shiny doesn't mean it is not AAA title.

What's next? All Bethesda games look dated, so they are not AAA games anymore?

How do u know about content? Devs didn't commit to any big end game content like you have in Division and Destiny

Also Division 2 has insane amount of content now. End game is fantastic in Division 2. I went back to game after getting pissed by nerfs and was blown away by new content they added. Love the seasons manhunt.

And now i joined a active clan, so no issues doing end content. They added multiple new locations as well. New York expansion completely changed the game. My opinion changed after playing new expansion. Im thoroughly enjoying Division 2 now

Bethesda games sell big. If Outriders sells 5m+ then it will become AAA.

Its new IP, can't give AAA label this early.  If its sell big then it will enter AAA category.

They already said ~40 hours of campaign. Post-campaign at launch will have ~14 expeditions with a 15th ultimate challenges once you get through the others. Levelling up and maxing out all 3 chars, their loot will take 100s of hours..

The game isn't GAAS title... It is single player RPG game with online option. Similar to Borderlands.

Only took them 2 years. And you are seeing insane amount of content because you didn't play since launch. You are just playing what's has been added since then.

Division 2 is going into hiatus mode and going to be re-releasing old seasons lol.

even Knack & Sackboy Adventure cost $60

goodluck trying to categorise it among AAA

Yea... It's tough to just go by retail MSRP.

SE's Avengers game on the other hand was more AAA than this one. It was their biggest western-studio developed game, plus they threw a lot of money at that thing too. Cyberpunk too. Both failed the quality test, but they had both the budget and public profile to be categorized AAA.

I think you are taking a Gears-like approach towards this. I have only played Gears 1 and 2. I feel that Gears is a very defensive and tactical game especially on harder difficulty where you need good cover system.

outriders has a more aggressive approach and approach towards cover system is completely different. Watch these important mantras of survival

Skillup also say that it quite good. He also says that the cover isn’t for you, it’s for the enemy. Your job is to go HAM :D watch this

People have zero understanding of these terms and go round and round for no reason.

AAA games just mean expensive games backed by publishers.

So much dumb argument over nothing.

It has nothing to do with quality or whatever the f**k.

There are degrees to everything, though. Expensive is a blanket term, and not every game has the same budget.

Which is why you had a lot of AA games in the older console generations. The market was more diverse and not loaded with blockbuster-or-bust with nothing-in-between titles.

So an Outriders would be AA, whereas Avengers would be AAA from that point-of-view.

Edit: Also, what's with the aggression? Calm it :D

What is a AAA title really?

Is it subjective or there’s a tangible benchmark for it?

AAA is just budget cost and development size. People here think PCF is some small indie studio lol.

PCF has ~6 studios across the world, $2B+ market cap, more than 250 people working, been around for 2 decades.

Kena AAA title. Ember Lab is an indie studio with ~15 people working.
