Nobody can. CRISPR will create havoc, sooner or later. Some ethical countries might stop, China won't, the race will be on, and everybody will get on the bandwagon.

Have been following Crispr-Cas9 for years now. There is no way its use is being restricted. Fascinating yet dangerous.

Also, Rallis is into Crispr for agro.

Now the theory of 3x -5x actual deaths compared to official figures doesn't seem so far fetched

This is exactly what I predicted In April. Whatever happens, they'll just say they handled the situation very well and the entire world is envious of our CM. I knew some minister in foreign country will even come out and say something like this emoji38.png

If nothing, they'll just say at least he handled it better than X guy in X state.

Kerala pop 3.5cr - cases 30L

UP pop 20cr - cases 17L

I can post 50 articles praising Kerala model, some even in International media. Can you find just 5 for UP?

Point is that those who have failed have been made winners by pliable media.

Everybody & their moms know that cases & death numbers were suppressed in UP unlike no place in India

probably the world if you keep aside China & North Korea

So let’s not go there

That’s the easiest escape.

Low numbers - state hasn’t done well, cuz it’s most likely fudging data — UP

Very high numbers - state has done well cuz it’s not hiding numbers — Kerala

Up is notorious for its reporting systems, be it crimes or deaths. It's no secret.

UK 34,000 cases & 6 deaths

India 37,000 cases & 2K deaths

If this is not a sign of vaccine effect then I don’t know what to believe anymore

Get it in your system asap ppl

India data for yesterday added 1.5k backdated deaths from MP alone where the new cases are just 18. And the effect of  UK's new cases will be felt in 7-10 days time and not instantly.

but still 2 days ago India was at 34k & 1.3k deaths

Also even in second wave in UK itself when cases were raging near 34k deaths was around 700

That’s like around 100% drop in mortality rate

So there is definitely something different happening in their third wave

only thing that might have changed is the herd immunity level due to virus running across population & 50% population fully vaccinated

MH reconciled their deaths 2 days back and added 400 missedout numbers.

See things at 7 day moving average.

Not saying that vaccination doesnt have any benefit at all.

The question to ask is, how long does the vaccine immunity last.

There may be a case that someone, fully vaccinated, might get susceptible to the virus again after few months. This is specially true in india as vaccinating 70% of the population would require close to one whole year or more.

Pretty sure no one knows yet. It's a new disease so research is still on going .

Also don't see any point worrying or reading too much now .

Just do what you can - get vaccinated and still take precautions . This virus ain't going away anytime soon .

The whole point about this problem you just mentioned was to prioritise tightly packed urban areas

Vaccinate the dense population asap to reduce mutations & spreading into the outskirts

But Le Govt. sadly
