It's not as tedious as it sounds. Only around 6 hours long. And you'd be surprised by all the stuff they've packed in the DLC, especially if you're a long time fan of the franchise.

In a way, he betrayed the players after promising so much in the first game, but you can't really blame him either for choosing to save his marriage over directing another God of War game.

Dont know about his personal issues, i would have done the same. Personal life gets priority. 

But the game was mediocre and boring, uninstalled and saw the ending. Dont care about it.

You could have lowered the difficulty to the lowest one and rushed through the main story, I suppose.

Nah, read arteus sections are more borefest. Got better games to play through.

In the current day and age, removing those scenes is not as big of a concern, than "replacing" them entirely.

I don't know if it was rushed. Maybe it feels like that because they combined the second and third game in the planned trilogy into one.

It was expansion pack to 2018 GoW not a sequel. Graphics were exactly same and combat too.

 

But still good expansion pack. Worth playing for fans.

 

 

Atreus scenes were added to increase length of the artificially.

Atreus scenes were added to increase length of the artificially. 

They didn't improve the graphics because it was planned as a PS4 game. Also, the Atreus section wasn't done that way to increase the length lol. It was to make the players get attached to the character which obviously backfired.

It was both. Artificially increasing length and make fans feel more attached to him.

 

And yes it backfired really bad.

That's why it's rushed. They ignored many key parts of the mythology, ignored the realms conflicts and too much focus on Atreus and angrboda and their relationship.

Individuals may or may not like it in particular but saying it was a “bad backfire” when it was a huge success no less than the first part is quite weird!!

Blasphemous take. Its a sequel, not a new ip. It improved almost all complaints from the 2018 game. More enemies, more areas and more boss fights. Also there was proper closure for Kratos. No way the full game was rushed. Maybe last bit of asgard was cut to avoid a trilogy.

You mad? From 2018, it was more. This ain't gow blade chalao only game now. 

 

Which characters was missing? Even side characters got good attention. 

 

You wanted Atreus to be a show piece? It was logical to have atreus sections. Ironwood was sh*t yes.

 

Odin take is subjective. The usual bad guy has been done a million times. This was more of a human mature way for both odin n Thor. 

 

So Thor,hrist mist and Nidhogg were similar boss fights

I was talking about studio's focus to make Atreus more interesting or likeable character than Kratos backfired. Atreus sections were universally disliked by fans. Game was good overall but people who actually played the game didn't like his sections at all. Game sucked everytime you were forced to play him over Kratos. Atreus sections were dragged out and really boring. Imagine if he becomes protagonist in future GoW games over Kratos

Don’t need to play to prove that nothing backfired bad & it was more successful than any other GoW in history.

Infact any other HnS in history.

 

It sold more copies on PS5 & 4 than Elden Ring did on same platforms….also came >.< this close to winning GOTY.

What's wrong with that? It actually sells so we can talk sales unlike some which don't sell. 

 

Ragnarok sold which means loved by fans and great meta which means Critics loved it too. You can play down the game all you want due to atreus sections but game is still kick a*s and legendary. 

 

The General Scene alone kicks in the nuts of many games.
