Oh yeah. Taxis are super expensive, and local taxi guys are super rude as well (only accept cash). Uber wi accept cards too, but nothing beats subway.

Taxi guys are the worst. Honestly, used the taxi only twice in HK from the Airport to Hotel and back, because there was luggage, they insist on adding a charge for the luggage which is just any number they say and you have to accept it. The subway is amazing.

@Northyou can also use the airport express subway if you do not have a lot of luggage.

Here is a map, plan accordingly - https://www.mtr.com.hk/en/customer/services/system_map.html

Use Uber vs local taxis. Bonus since you will almost always get a Tesla !

The Uber scene was crazy. Tesla/Porsche/Mercs and what not but the subway was just too convenient. Also, the number plates are crazy I remember some - KING/MEME etc like those were literally the number plates. Fun place, good memories.

Or walk. I think most HK-ers spend half their life walking (and are fit because of it)

@NorthWith Niyo you can withdraw from ATM as well use anywhere. However do note that they will deduct extra 20% as TCS and will refund after 12 days if overall spend doesn't exceed TCS threshold limit. However their system is very good in deducting money but no so in retuning. Had to escalate.

My startagy is to use Niyo for cash withdrawal and CC for all other uses.

Also ATM withdrawal charges are by bank and will mostly shown in ATM screen

Fi's forex return is pretty flawless. Never had to escalate. Money comes back like clockwork within 2 weeks.

You need to open a Fi Infinite savings account with 50k min balance to get that debit card.

Guys quick question- Is Delhi to Ajmer drive an enoyable one? Or am I better off travelling via volvo bus /train?

Going on friday. Planning a solo drive , will leave at 8 am so should reach by 3.30 or 4pm there

It's not bad. But I don't remember it being any special either. You can take either of the two expressways, though using the Del-Mumbai one is an experience.

Download their app and proceed. As someone said, the zero forex card is for accounts with 50k MAB (+ additional money to spend) but they are quick to process, and forex returns are swift, within 14 days. Japan is the only country not accepting Fi, else it has worked seamlessly elsewhere.

There is an urgent work requirement that requires travel to Brazil. I wasn't supposed to go, have been asked to cover for someone.

Its just a 1 day meeting on the 26th, anyone knows if there is a way I can obtain before then to travel? I do not have a valid US/Schengen visa at the moment.

also, proceeding through an agent for US visa application, currently got dates for 1st and 8th March (for both appointments). He has mentioned he will get the second appointment moved to 4th March , after my biometric on 1st. Timelines are looking tight there as well, any advice?
