Amazon seems to have a lot of stock of this model. The Samsung 970 evo plus become oos rather quick while this one is still in stock since the start of the sale.

The Evo 970 plus is enthusiast level to be honest and the price was marked down significantly. To the tune of ~50%. In day to day usage, you won't be able to see much of a difference between these two (although the NAND on Samsung is supposedly superior and longer lasting).

This is actually a pretty good model. Much better than the Crucial P1 or the Intel 660p. And the cost is comparable to that of a SATA SSD.

Thanks noted. Also for older laptops which do not have a M2 drive and can only have a sata ssd which one would you suggest?

I wouldn't claim to be an expert, but you can definitely get the Crucial MX500.

The performance is as good as the Samsung Evo 860 without having to pay the Samsung tax.

You've linked to the 870 QVO, which is significantly worse than the EVO series. Also it comes only with 3 years warranty.

The MX500 is the better option. It comes with 5 years warranty too.

Next cycle. It comes as Amazon pay balance

My purchase value is 35,000 but on checkout it says that I'm eligible for a cashback of 1,000 (instead of 1,750). Is there something strange going on here or will the 5% cashback happen regardless of what it says on checkout?

Not sure what the issue here is. Normally you get 5% cashback no matter what you purchase as long as you are a prime member.

You may want to check if this is an additional cashback.

Noted, It didn't show any additional 5% cashback notification on checkout like it usually does on my HDFC card. Have made the purchase for now, will check at the end of the month to see if applied.

Thanks for the help L33T.
