Horner did the same thing in the last lap.. asking them to let the lapped cars pass through and suddenly the race stewards  changed the decision ?

Yeah he asked why the cars are not being unlapped like they usually do in other races. Stewards should've had done it 2 laps ago as soon as the track was clear.

I find it absolutely fascinating that almost everyone who is being vocal against Masi and the whole situation, is associated with Mercedes in some way or another.

Basically, safety car should exist throughout the season except during the race where Merc was dominating.

If things would have been fair throughout, Verstappen wouldn't have even needed the win to become champion.

Guess what Toto…..

I don’t know .. seems to me from articles that Fia broke their own rules?

Not really.

Article 48.13 kind of gives Race Director the control of Safety Car and that's why Merc lost the appeal.

48.13 supercedes 48.12.

I think the current audience just hasn't seen such a close battle before. Race director has the authority to pull in SC to let the drivers race.

I don't think Merc imagined this possibility.

From the perspective of the rules, it's completely fair and possible that SC is pulled in and to allow the drivers to race when "any" and not "all" back-markers (which might interrupt racing for the others) are allowed to pass through to achieve a safe distance.

And anyway, if Ham would have pitted, he would have definitely won. They chose position over tyres.

He was always within 5 seconds or two turns behind until VSC pit stop. The safety car threat was always present, which is why Toto called the race officials and begged them to not put out the safety car. Imagine a team principle trying to dictate safety car terms with stewards

Not the first time he’s tried to do that

Just yesterday he was whining about Checo driving dangerously. Like, fk off   Are you so used to other drivers rolling over and letting you pass in one take that when someone actually puts up a fight, it suddenly becomes dangerous driving?

I just saw that whole section again, Checo was an absolute madlad, great defense. Easily cost HAM 5-7 seconds

And HAM whining as usual made me lol

That was some crying by Hamilton.

Every legend of the sport was cheering and commending Checo and here Ham & Merc thought that he driving dangerously.

Let's just let it be.

In any sport this is the case. The winning side celebrates and the losing side whines.

That was incredibly entertaining. I can re-watch that a 100 times and not get bored.

not really I think…

Why not? Like everyone including you said, Max wasn't close to Ham the entire race (even though he was). Of course, had they pitted, the story would've been completely different.

That would be suicide, slow car on sh*t tyres. Even Sainz would've overtaken him for no. 2

verstappen letting ham through? no way…he would have crashed and @0verlord would have got his wish?
