dante77
Finished. One of the best games EVER! Loved the combat and exploration. Love that it's a super linear game with secrets in between and there are invisible walls throughout. It did not follow Souls formula blindly which is a good thing since not everything has to be a copy. It's a must play game IMO and people thinking it's a tough game, it really isn't. It focuses purely on combat without any worry whatsoever. Like there is no penalty for death, fast travel from anywhere to anywhere even in between combat and lot of fighting tricks up in your sleeve. Progression system is pretty straightforward and informative unlike cryptic. Clocked in at 60 hours but I still feel it's short.

And if PS5 how does it performs and on which mode you played?

You may feel some slowness in the start but I think it's the nature of the game. Ones you get the hang of it, you would not notice any dip related to performance. I played with VRR enabled and I think framerates improve at certain places. Game is very well optimized for PS5. Basic walking speed is weirdly slow and you have to sprint all the time though. But that is how game is made.

Missed it and later realized I did all the pre-requisite for it. Completed all loong battles, did the all side missions and yet missed it. I just had to go to Pagoda Realm and reach the place! Dang! I deleted the game and then realized that even after ending the game, you can still get that Erlang boss fight and complete the game. Anyway, don't regret much since I think I have completed almost all secrets in the game. I really need a sequel now since I feel the game was short :/
dante77
I would also like to praise/highlight another thing which probably other people may not have appreciated much. It's the overall feel of the game, like for example when you reach Temple Entrance in Chapter 3 or end of Chapter 4, with complete Chinese Buddhist temple vibes, along with Chinese looking attire, and monks chanting in the middle with subtle sound and music, you feel so connected and can feel the vibe in the game. Perfection!

That's a big number for a game like this. I was thinking it's around 10 M copies only. I am very happy. The amount of hard work and production vakue this game has is amazing. I hope they make a sequel but keep it restricted like this game instead of making it free roam and sh*t.

Its a matter of pride for Chinese and they supported in big way. It was covered by mainstream media in China and in West. https://travisclark.substack.com/p/black-myth-wukong-china-video-game-sales Very few pirated the game on PC. It literally says in the article that patriotism was a key here and you are going in a complete different tangent of piracy. PC is a piracy machine. It will never change. Zod
Ofcourse some people pirate. There like billion PC gamers out there and many does pirate games but still there are many games which created sales record on PC. If game is good and properly supported on PC then PC gamers will buy it in large numbers.

It saw a massive bump in sales in that region. Edited February 2 by AnK
Big Boss
Holy sh*t what a game. It's like all I ever wanted from a souls game. Perfect combat. Perfect difficulty. Perfect learning curve. Only thing missing is map design with shortcuts etc but that's not a big deal.

The secret level alone puts GOWR on it's knees.

I actually found start to be a bit more souls like but later levels prove it's more action game than a souls like. There are lot secrets in the game but main path is usually straightforward. So level design like souls is not needed.
