There's a lot of sensitive information in the leaks that affects not just the games or the studio but Sony's gaming division as a whole.

Lmao

Like what?!?

They are planning to cut costs & increase demographic via subscriptions,PC & mobiles?!?

Or that they have signed a deal with more sister IPs under the same umbrella/lore/universe?!?

Or an XYZ console launch exclusive title had an n amount of revenue?!?

Or they are/were planning a multiplayer component for a future game?!

Or that they feared that if COD is used to Xbox’s advantage they will lose active userbase?!

Which they already repeated in multiple regulatory & open court statements?!?

This is sensitive information?!? :giggle:

The licensing deal with Marvel for example. Doubt Marvel is happy about that getting out.

Also, the things you stated can be crucial. Adding laughing emojis doesn't make them any less important.

If it was an out of the blue announcement like Blade(where even platforms are in the dark)then it would have been definitely an unsettling moment for Marvel.

After more than half a decade long partnership & specially the main & most popular character of X-Men already under Sony’s belt.

I highly doubt it would be as big a deal as you or others on Twitter are making it out to be.

Nothing company shattering has been leaked.

Like the CEO’s remaining tenure or how Sony perceives this studio over others.

Just because someone wants it to hurt the studio/publisher/partners doesn’t necessarily mean it will start hurting.

No, what @Kumar123 says is actually right. We don't know what's in the contract. For example, say Marvel reserved the right to withdraw Xmen IP if Wolverine doesn't reach a set amount of revenue (or ask Sony to make the game multi-platform). Wolverine has not even released yet. Now, the entire info is in public domain. It's a PR disaster because everyone now expects only Sony to develop X-Men, that too exclusively (When Xmen was not even on the radar at all). Not to mention - if there were personal info of any Marvel employees in there - they will be upset too.

For other companies, the perception will be - this is the 2nd time such a leak has happened at Sony (1st one being the infamous 2011 leak), and Sony of all companies has to be the most vigilant of security because they have a history of leak. This is Sony's loss too (Both image wise and employee data leak wise). I'm sure neither company or even much people are happy with this.

Another highly speculative concern without any concrete information regarding it.

Goodmorning…..but it’s an industry wide problem now with Rockstar being hit twice in a year & Ubisoft shortly after Sony.

It’s obviously concerning & bad for the entire industry…..but concern trolling makes it even worse.

I don’t see anyone getting worried about GTA or any Ubisoft games or deals getting impacted.

But it’s Sony & it’s highly polarising exclusives so we gotta spread the awareness!!

Can’t wait to play Wolverine & X-men on schedule without any hiccups.

As “history” tells us with how reliable Sony is with their forte in this field.

Trailer leaked

Not leaked, this is an internal rough cut that they used to show the game. It’s just segments that were hacked pieced together
