Yikes then yeah 23k series s sounds good if the same thing continues for a long term, but if someone has time freeing up in future like good ol days then series x is worth considering in that case.

Please don't sell PS5 the semiconductor shortage is no small thing, you are very lucky to have it, even if it breaks sony will give you a new one for half the price, why do you want to go out of a win win situation and wonder the desert like us looking for a ps5.

Any of the ps5 or series x owners should not sell their console as it will become only hard to get those even in next year, a single wave of covid in any supply chain country and the stock shortage will increase to newer lows.

Get the series s if time is really a factor, that for 23k and game pass for 12k and you are good if you can manage the storage micromanagement.

I'd frankly wait for a year and get the series X then, spencer himself said xbox one will be supported for first 2 years, so anything worth series X comes later, those 2 years are up with starfield in nov2022. There is not much you are missing with one x apart from load times, though if your friends are already playing on any of the next box then i guess you are forced to upgrade.

I'll wait for a forza motorsport or starfield themed series x. I'm not missing much sticking with one x for now anyway.

When you have a kid ready to sit in front of TV the moment you switch it on, and too tired to stay awake when he goes to sleep, it's tough seeing that changing in future. I do wish I could get the game time like before, but these days I get to game for few hours a week, it's been a pain to stay awake to play FH5. I started palying Assassins creed on PS5, but have hardly put in few hours and have been thinking to return from sometime.

Guess that is how life is, maybe once he grows up a bit and starts playing, I can play with him for a bit more, but overall it seems like the end of road for me with this gen of consoles.

May i give an alternate path for that ?

Just get a 4k hdmi 2.1 monitor with 2 hdmi ports 1 can be hdmi 2.1 for ps5 other can be hdmi 2 for xbox series s, get the series s instead of series x and invent in portable storage of your choice, so family can enjoy their content and you can enjoy gaming to some good extent, just get a 29+ inch screen for better immersion, ideally 32 inch monitor.

Bro I have three TV, two 65" and one 55", it's not about family time, it's about what the kid wants. I guess you are not married, you will know soon!!

Dude. What?  I get the intention you have to help, but once you are married and have things set in a household, you can't do 'jugaad' like that.

Same. The moment I turn on the TV or put up a game, my daughter would want to play as well. And a 4 year can't play most of the games I'm trying to play, so it goes without saying THAT THE KID WINS, and whatever she wants plays on the screen. :ranting:

I was so stoked about GotG, and I could barely play it for an hour max so far.

Maybe for such cases game pass feature of play anywhere on any screen works wonders ?

At least you can turn on the TV now that your kid is 4 :P .

Pretty sure you would remember how we can't even turn on Console/TV when kids are a little over 1 year old .Na woh TV dekh sakte hai na hum khel sakte hai  . And after kid goes to sleep wife wants to watch Netflix/Prime with you ( and not doing that can have serious implications ?

Only realistic option is to play after 2 am on weekends or get up early at 7 am to get good 2/3 hours of gaming .

When wife goes to her hometown that's the only time I can genuinely play :D

Order a Steam deck for yourself. It supports gamepass as well.  :P

Themoment Kid sees it, it will be with him, and i will only get belted by wifey. I have to hide the ipad also now.

That said gamepass has been a total game changer!!

My tragedy, My in laws came over, and now She won't go home for quite sometime

You stream games from your Xbox to your iPad and play it on that with the controller. I've not done extended gaming sessions (more than 30 minutes) on it but from as much I have, the experience is solid.

Na bhai, don't have that kind of enthu anymore. As i said gaming has taken a back seat now, not out of choice, but out of situation. Majority of my free time is spent on my bikes now, and I also like taking my kid down when I work on them, it's a good learning for him.
