Tassi already backpaddled when he saw this sh*t blowing up on big sites

I wouldn't even say Souls Lite. If you don't lose souls on death is it really a Souls game? Plenty of difficult action games came out before Souls. Just because it is hard doesn't mean its a Soulslike.

This exactly. I was so stressed when I first time died that I will loose all the wills accumulated but couldn’t really find any negatives apart from just starting at an earlier checkpoint. Jedi Survivor is more souls like than this. Though not as difficult but follows the principles of a souls game.

Completed the game. Man that final chapter boss fight kicked my a*s. It took so many tries to finally beat him lol.

I missed the secret ending looks like but i will get on my 2nd cycle run in future.

Good game - 8/10.

Game Science aims to launch 2 DLC's for BM:W before the release of their next game, Black Myth: Jiang Ziya. :wOOtjumpy:

The game was meant to have 13 chapters, but they released only 6 longer chapters because of the budget.

Black Myth: Wukong success explodes China’s AAA investment:

If only western developers know this is what majority of gamers really want.

The production cost in the west is through the roof.

A 25 member team working under a developer(not indie) will cost ~3m in salaries and fixed every year.

Now do a math for 200 member team, minimum that is needed to make this game.

Bungie sitting in Seattle pays nearly 100k an average, even with 700 employees, their burn is 70m just on salaries.

Rockstar is the last standing bastion of AAA, which has courage and wallet to make big games.

What I mean is what the audience really want/desire. From what I see from western developers are that they making games with political correctness, self censorship, targeted at small non-existent modern audiences or looking for a long term revenue stream (i.e GAAS). There is no love and passion in those games.

Yes labor and tech costs are insane in the west. I guess that they could outsource to China now that they have the capacities to reduce costs. AI is another thing.

After busy two weeks at work, got time to start this. Awesome game so far. I haven't gone in search of any secret bosses but so far it's manageable difficulty.

I have read so many xianxia novels which got inspiration from the tale of Monkey king and it's a surreal experience to play a game based on it.

Secret bosses are very well hidden, you might need to look up some videos to find them.

Difficulty is manageable at start but it changes very soon after 2 chapters :samui:
