But when??? Not before 2012 as it seems.

 

In other news, one of the N4G article said that 13 titles will be revealed during VGA, 6 or 7 are almost confirmed, could this be one of the remaining ones? Lets see, I am already getting a lil hyped for this.

It sounds like a Christmas 2011/Early 2012 release. Also like the sound of this -

 

Lara's athletic prowess will also evolve. Some areas begin inaccessible due to physical limitations or scarce supplies. With the right skills and gear, however, the island is Lara's for the taking.

 

Open world could work out great like that. Think Metroid (or Darksiders for non Ninty's).

- It's not only a reboot of the franchise but a reboot of the entire brand. As a result there will be no "real" Lara model this time.--- :(

 

- They're doing performance capturing with this game--- awesome. :thumbsup:

- There are brutal deaths in the game this time. One is described as a deranged man stabbing Lara in the chest and then closing her eyes after she's dead. Another includes a boulder falling on her leg to trap her before another falls and crushes her head.--- I hope that scream and the breaking of bones is still there...when lara falls from heights .

 

- CD won't talk specifics on weapons but concept art shows a bow, shotgun and pistol--- :wOOtjumpy:

 

- The lock on targeting system is gone and it now has a free aim system. CD says that it can compete with any of their competitors.--- WTH!...sounds like Uncharted.

--- WOW!....sounds awesome....make it happening....but dont want that POP type abilities upgrade..plz no...if she is to overcome her physical limitations make it natural....

If its an exclusive for GI's Jan issue, I doubt they'd reveal anything at the VGAs.

 

Are the VGAs being aired on TV here? IIRC they showed it on Animax or something last year.

Not looking good at all, unless by reboot they mean totally ditching puzzles and precision platforming and going for Ms Drake look and feel.

i believe that is not the case.....but let see some trailer or videos first ...that will give the basic idea.

New Tomb Raider Playable Next Week?

The shockingly awesome announcemet of yet another Tomb Raider redesign has taken the world by storm. Now we have reason to believe the title will be shown next week in some form at Jump Festa, a anime/manga/video game/general nerd convention in Japan.

 

Publisher Square Enix will be attending the event and has posted an image of it’s booth map on their website earlier this week. The map shows all the games that will be at the convention except for one, opting to label it with the mysterious “???” instead.

..trying to read but cant read much...:doh:

 

Edit: from one of the cans it says "Lara is not invincible. She bruises, bleeds, and cries.".... :samui:

she has a pistol...a shotgun...a bow...and a sword kinda of weapon....and her belts and all seems to be made from items she found in the island.
