The Metal Gear Solid 3 remake will have the “original voice characters”

In a press release sent out after the game’s reveal, Konami said that it will include “all of the original voice characters, storyline, and features of combat survival, but elevated and evolved.” “Original voice characters” is a odd way to phrase it, but that strongly implies that Konami is getting the previous actors to reprise their roles. It’s unconfirmed if the remake will just be using the old voice track or have new recordings.

Of course they're going to use the old voices. It's all nostalgia baiting after all.

More than that, its about costs. They are going to reuse majority of the the voice work as it is.

So, this wouldn't involve Kojima in any way right? Setting low expectations for this in both screenplay and gameplay

Its a remake.  So they just copy original one to one.

RE4 remake didn't involved Shinji Mikami and it was great, so why you think this wont be good?

Bluepoint studios made Demon souls without the help of Miyazaki and SOTC without help of original creator.

So far every single remake we got was made without help of original studio or creator, so its not right to jump to conclusion that MGS3 will suck just because Kojima not working on it.

Konami isn't bluepoint. Bluepoint hasn't made a bad remake yet.  MG Survive was sh*t.

Cutscenes can't be remade one to one. It will involve a lot more animations since PS2 had its limitations. It's like remaking an old 90s movie with current technology. One on one remake will be lacklustre. You need a good director with proper vision.

This is especially true for Kojima, since he puts a lot of attention to detail in his cutscenes, the stuff that others won't even bother about
