Anyone locked into the Samsung ecosystem? I have a S24U and a Galaxy Tab 9 FE Plus and usually use features like quick share, call/text on other devices, copy and paste across, etc.

Obviously I would lose a lot of this if I switch to a P9Pro (when it launches) but taking opinions if the P9Pro is better than the S24+

DM me If anyone wants to sell their pixel phone

I am curious to know why do you want to buy an old Pixel? I have 4A which is working great, only battery decayed. I don't want to sell it.

Bought the Pixel 9 Pro last week (Sunday, November 17th, to be precise). Got the Hazel colour (coz the local Croma didn't have Obsidian <_<).

Solid experience so far. Superb phone! The in-hand feel is very, very good. I also got a couple of first-party cases (Hazel and Black) and they're just too good. I don't usually like using cases/screen protectors on my phone, so not sure how long I'll be using the cases. Let's see... Also, got the official 45W charger. That's shaped like a larger version of the Pixel Buds Pro case (lol), so it doesn't feel like a wall adapter in a traditional sense. Does the job of fast-charging the phone very well.

I was on a Pixel 6 before this and the overall jump in quality - in terms of the hardware (build quality, cameras, more RAM, etc.) feels like a generational leap. And no, I don't play mobile games at all (except Pokémon TCGP), so the benchmark scores don't mean anything to me.

Speaking of cameras, photos are ace, as usual. But a special mention for the extra telephoto lens, FTW! It's one of those things that you don't know that you're missing out on, until you use it. The uniformity across lenses in terms of the colour science (especially from the viewfinder) and overall look and feel is insane. The jump in video quality from 3 years ago feels significant, too. Obviously, not iPhone-levels, but it's getting pretty close, IMO.

The heating issues, compared to the Pixel 6, is negligible. Only experienced it once, only slightly heating up (nothing unbearable, just higher than usual) during an extended session of taking photos and videos. No issues with radio signals (Wi-Fi/4G - silly Vodafone doesn't support 5G yet, so cannot test that) at all. No issues with the fingerprint scanner at all, either. Super fast and snappy. I've set-up face unlock anyway, which goes straight to the home screen from the lockscreen. Just like the iPhone.

Battery life has never been an issue for me with a Pixel (had the Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 6, Pixel 8 - the missus uses this currently), and this phone is no different. It literally learns how you use the phone and your charging habits and lasts accordingly. On a new phone, you can easily see the difference in battery life if you compare Day 1 vs Day 3 onwards.

Overall, super satisfied with the phone, and planning to rock it for at least 3 years or so.

I too got a pixel last week, the 9 Pro XL. It is refreshing compared to my old S22U, but I do miss some system level features that Samsung had baked in.

Not tested the camera fully yet but initial tests make it seem amazing!

hey yo!

i wanna keep my phone unlocked on home wifi, r.n. i am using extended unlock and trusted places to home (what this does is even  if u lock ur phone, if it's in the trusted location, u won't require to input ur pin/pattern etc. just swipe to unlock).

but, what i want to use is, in routines, i wanna set a routine, that if on wifi, then keep phone unlocked, but that n!gga ain't working, and i don't wanna keep tha location ON, tho it's still working with location off for now as i haven't moved my @$$

or in general, i wanna keep mah phone unlocked when on home WiFi, daz eet suckaz, piece out!

edit: like there's no official way to keep phone unlocked other than the options mentioned in the Extended Unlock menu i.e. On body, trusted places and trusted devices (via. BT). So, i am using trusted devices and have connected to my desktop. So, whenever i am at home and connected to pc via BT, my phone will remain unlocked, no need to input pin/pattern etc. thing i need to test is, the battery drain when using this feature, cuz location/trusted places require you to keep GPS ON, which i know for a fact is a battery killer, BUT, the s25 is really optimized device, battery backup as i mentioned in the WYBTW thread, is insane for a compact size phone, hence will have to check how battery drain fares w.r.t. BT and GPS methods, will keep BT for now and see how much juice it drinks.

I am seriously considering s24 ultra. Android doesn't really have any good option despite it seems like there are lot of companies making phones for it.

Was waiting for Pixel 10 but with weak processor and weaker portrait with exyta 30k. It doesn't seem like a good value to money deal.

I have been avoiding Samsung because I do not like their design and OneUI. Ultra's design is even worse! Bulky rectangle! Why can't they make something like Pixel or OnePlus. Their form factor is excellent and it matters!

Anyone using s24 ultra here? Or older devices for more than a year like s23? I heard they lag after about a year or so. Is this still true!?

It's at 85k right now!

using s23(bought at launch) and s25(same), both are smooth till now, s25 gives better battery. i'd say pick that s24U if u get a good deal or save up and get s25U or the last option from semsoong i'd suggest would be the s25+

Screen size is a big concern. How come we don't have a solid 6.5 around inch phone with same camera specs as ultra.

Dual telephoto is drooling! I am gonna go to the store to check it.

Thanks mah n****!!!

Using S23U from 2 years now, 0 complaints, phone runs like butter. If you have some one coming from Dubai. Get S25U, you can get it below 80K

Just checked the sizes of each phone and man S24U is huge! It's impractical IMO. They just made a phablet and put max configuration in it. It's quite heavy as well. Pretty much a deal breaker for me.

S25+ despite being only .2 inch smaller is better to hold in hand, it weighs less as well. But I checked the reviews and config, it's camera is not as good as Ultra.

That dual telephoto helps ultra shoot some amazing portraits. I want the camera of Ultra but size of s25+ or smaller. Processor and budget is not a concern. Why couldn't Samsung just make a slightly smaller and practical day to day phone with max configuration?

f*** you Samsung!
