It may have the grunt power of today's 1660 ti/ Super, but the vram is bottleneck of sorts

There is a reason why reviewers don't utilise future claims. Again, Ryzen not having integrated gpu in case your gpu dies is a very small subset of scenarios. Acc. to this logic no one should buy Ryzen. Ryzen over Intel if anyone wanna build a multi purpose rig today.

All this jazz about Intel being better at gaming becomes relevant only if you remove CPU bottlenecks completely using a top of the line GPU and if you game at high frame rates. Right now, Ryzen offers tremendous value for money and the marginal performance difference really isn't worth the added cost (Intel MBs are notoriously expensive and require you to use the latest chipset like Z390 with the 9 series. I guess the 10 series will follow suit). Gaming for Intel holds true if you have the budget for a high framerate rig. Mostly for at competitive gamers or for folks who want the absolute best and for whom cost is no bar Edited January 4, 2020 by l33tmaniac

Mostly for at competitive gamers or for folks who want the absolute best and for whom cost is no bar Lol current Ryzens need X570 chipset boards that cost 15k minimum from a reputed brand, same as Z390 boards. Unless ofc you mean jumping through hoops to get a very specific b450 motherboard, getting ryzen gen 2 processor, updating the BIOS, putting the ryzen 3600 in, and then pulling your hair out because of bugs in the BIOS don't let it boot. or getting an obscure MSI B450 motherboard with out of the box ryzen gen 3 support. cheaper AMD is a meme, Both Intel AMD performance are neck and neck, so they price also accordingly, long ago in 2012-2013 AMD used to be cheap but their performance was absolute garbage compared to Intel. Don't know what this new bullshit trend is with cost cutting by these companies some don't have an igpu on the processor, some don't give a cooler with the processor : https://www.techspot.com/review/1885-ryzen-5-3600-vs-core-i5-9400f/ literally the difference is whether you want igp or 12 threads and more performance on AC Odyssey and the other 2 games like that. People on the internets also say that the Ryzens are "future-proof" because more cores duh but then they said that for the FX 8350 from 2012 also

You do not need an x570 chipset unless you want the PCIe gen4 Many B450 boards support BIOS flashback using which you can easily update the BIOS without even installing a CPU! I did it when I recently purchased the B450M mortar.. Also most new boards in the market already support the Ryzen 3rd gen out of the box.. E.g. Asrock B450 series, Asus B450 series, MSI B450 max boards..

Ryzen 3 doesn't need X570 and many of the B450 motherboards out there support it out of the box. I think you have been keeping up with a wrong YouTube channel. And they are readily available, just go on the internet or your local store and you will get it easily. There aren't any boot issues in any of the systems I have seen and you certainly will keep all of your hair. Also, what's the problem in getting "10 more fps" in AC Odyssey and some games while absolutely crushing Intel in workstation tasks? It's future proof as in, the games will get only more demanding in future and an Intel processor which isn't able to compete today, will not be able to put a better performance in the future as compared to Ryzen. More and more games are taking advantage of more cores and threads with every update. Hardly anyone is gonna run a cpu of such specs without a gpu and saying that it doesn't have an igpu is like saying I won't buy a better performing Mercedes because they removed the reserve option from it or give fewer spare tires. There is a reason why every reputed tech YouTuber recommends Ryzen. It's not about sheer performance, it's about bang for the buck. If it had that many problems, they wouldn't have recommended it. Well, for one, Ryzen offers more cores, 30-50% more performance in productivity tasks. Gaming takes a hit by around 10% if I am not wrong. And that too only when you use a 2080Ti or so and game at low res & high fps. The facts are out there in the wild. Not sure why you are trying to convince otherwise
