2nd half is so f**king good.

There are no feminists triggers in the movie. I take my words back. The only trigger is crazy violence, but that's expected.

The action scenes make zero sense - don't go looking for Kill Bill, though the impression is evident.
The 1st ending is so well done - Ranbir and Anil Kapoor's exchange - we had tears in our eyes. And then the "real" ending. f**king A !
Can't wait for Animal Park.
With all the massive loopholes, it is still superbly entertaining. You won't feel the 3 hours. RK's best acting to date.

Edit: Bobby Deol's arc makes no sense till you see the real ending. Also, little time on screen but again, so good.

What is “real” ending?

#AnimalPark

Don't spoil it. Watch the movie.

Also, apparently RGV's take on the movie: https://baradwajrangan.wordpress.com/2023/12/03/my-review-of-animal-by-ram-gopal-varma/ (many spoilers)

A day after watching and I'm thinking that almost every uttarance of "Papa" from RK's mouth was so different. Conveyed the exact emotion with every word. Its a father son story, where all that the son wants is validation and love and his dad's time, and everything in between is just means to an end. Everyone is just a scapegoat in the grand scheme of things.

These 3 songs hit different at the big screen

The movie is very visceral, not unlike Kantara. Different themes, but the rawness remains. Will likely go for a 2nd watch.

Wtf bro why are you spreading misogyny in the country:

Hahaha, What part of " my life, my money, my time, my choice " they dont understand ? Which btw is preached by their own feminist icons. I tell you if the main character were a woman instead of ranbeer. these same ppl would be rooting for the movie and calling it next to god.

And then they ask why ppl hate these feminazis

Maybe just maybe RK and the director has more Box office pull and people want to watch their movie and maybe that other movie is bad.

Yeh sab American / west  ne India ko bhi barbad kar diya hai

Aaj Tak he/she/they/them pronoun sab samaj mei nahi aaya. Kya chutiyapa hai.

Yaar ek to BC trigger hone wala kuch nahi hai. All sex scenes are consensual - there is no rape.

What happened to Tripti Dimri - was disappointed with Ranbir's arc when that happened, but then something else came to light and the entire thing made sense (with the most important theme of the movie).

Except the violence which just keeps on increasing, which can trigger people, there's nothing triggering in the entire movie for a rational mind. I would say the old Govinda and Sanju baba movies are 100x more triggering than this.

But you were saying there is rape fantasy, shooting the wife etc. Who gave you that information?

Reviews. All false. The context and narrative was missing. I am surprised the reviewers are such dumb f**ks. Or they are scared of writing what they want.

The same reviewers would have sung heaps of praises over other similar murderous movies. The real reason is that all critics hate Vanga.

He doesn't give a fck about critics.

Animal

When the trailer hit i was quite excited to watch it which is a rarity for Bollywood movies these days. However when the reviews started pouring I was prepared with lower expectations. However, the movie was a disappointment.

It started with a promise. Held the attention and storyline for a brief period but then time jumped around without giving context when needed. Then there were intimate and violent scenes thrown without any need or story demanding them. Director wanted the protagonist to be a family man John wick but forgot John wick had codes and principle and his protagonist made no sense doing things he did just uttering one sentence entire film about loving his father as justification for his madness.

Movie should have been atleast 30 minutes shorter. They made it 3 hours and 21 minutes long and gave Bobby hardly 10 minutes which didn't justify his potential as lead Villain. Should have been proper cat and mouse between Ranbir and him. Kudos to Bobby for still doing great with his limited time with the character. Ranbir was brilliant but the direction and screenplay is quite poor at times and it shows. This movie is another case of what could have been a really good film marred with shoddy direction.

I believe after Barfi this is his finest performance.

I think Bobby's story will be explored in Animal Park - there's no way such a loved character will not appear on screen again. And I also think this is because Animal's story is pretty focussed on a singular mission of a son needing validation from his dad. Everything else is means to an end.

I can't reply fully without spoilers but it would be interesting to see how they incorporate Bobby back in animal park. I would like to see him more. Out of everyone his character was most interesting.
