Done with the game.

Has been long overdue since I purchased it in a sale long back (and I guess it was given away via PS plus as well lot later as well)

Loved every bit of it. Few emotional moments and music is always on the edge. You REALLY are in control of the narrative.

The polish and narrative choices are very well done. This beats Heavy Rain and Until Dawn for me.

Not sure I would go for the platinum but might poke around to see if I get other endings.

My ending is a mixed bag, but its my story. :P

Started this in the weekend and holy s*it that menu screen lady!! :O Talk about making a first impression. Never liked this genre of games much (press a button to acknowledge you are still awake). Have only played Heavy rains and TWD:S1 and found both of them just good enough to see it through till the end. Until Dawn was the only one I liked, but mainly because of the horror theme. However, unlike Until Dawn the characters here dont feel plastic-y. Absolutely amazing work done on character models and the facial expressions :majesty: Great graphics making all the difference here. Dialogue delivery feels so much better than any other such game because of this. Being a father of a toddler, "Stormy Night" chapter was hard to watch. If only the game had given that option, wanted to beat the sh*t out of that guy. Enjoying the story and the characters so far. Hoping that its not dragged a lot by the time the credits roll.

I had the same reaction to her

Sometimes, try leaving it in the menu for like 10-15 mins and watch her reactions. Its fascinating. She will default to a repeat mode after a while though.

Also, she will 'react' to your choices throughout the game. Best menu screen implementation, period.

My only gripe with this game- wish they had made replaying the chapters easier with more checkpoints and options to skip convos.

Is the game better than Beyond, that game was absolute garbage.

I absolutely loved Detroit & its story line. Did not hate Beyond, but found Detroit to be significantly better.

But keep in mind that this is still the same QTE focused & decision based Walking sim, albeit in a more polished package. So if you dislike that genre, you probably won't love this either.

Began the game yesterday and holy smokes this is one of the best looking games I've ever played, especially in terms of character renderings. It straight up looks CG in certain scenes. I'd believe you if you tell me it's a next gen game.

Also in terms of story telling and choices, it's a massive step up over beyond two souls. Never got the chance to play heavy rain though. Kara and Conor's storylines are so good. Marcus's is alright

Loving the game so far. Certain choices in the game are soooo tough to make. I literally had to pause the game a few times to ponder about my choices. Kara's route is definitely the highlight for me. I genuinely care for her and I hope it turns out fine in the end.

And again Holy smokes...QD NEEDS to make a PS5 exclusive. They will definitely surpass real life visuals with their next game lol. Forget UC4, GOW, HZD, this is the definite best looking game on the PS4(though I'm playing on a PS5)

It’s really shame that still some games like this one & Few others like Horizon , Uncharted & Death stranding have no PS5

Developers have probably better work then to rehash these boring games atleast the last two.

FPS unlocking is a low effort patch. I feel Sony is only strategically releasing the patches in downtime for sustained hype.

Games like UC, Death Stranding, HZD should've received patches by now.

I really wanna play DS but holding out for frame unlock patch.

They never commited to anything like that, its just people wishlist. They can do what they want and can only be held accountable if officially announced. With nothing to play on PS5 right now, i understand why people are expecting these, but all this are la la land dreams.
