Quick question-: Does this game have any level gating, or can I complete the main story without going into side quests?

You totally can.

But you won't be able to develop your character. So you will have to rely on pure shooting. Pew pew.

It's fine in this game. But won't be as much fun as it can be.

This used to be huge issue in Skyrim, PPL used to complain about gameplay. Which does suck if all you do is swing your sword. But is not as big of an issue here.

Im not a fan of grinding to level up, barely get time for games. As long as the main quests provide enough experience to move ahead with the story, I'm good.

These games are not designed to have fun that way.

Your main story & it’s quests aren’t that much better or have design differences from side quests.

These games are all about exploring & character building which is deep as f**k!!.

Naturally It demands more time than any other genre.

I spent good 30-40 hours in previous games & barely scratched the surface on anything.

Got bored & moved on but if ppl dedicate their time than there is nothing like this in terms of value for money & endless fun factor.

In my opinion the biggest reason this design got popular is because it attracted most of the gamers with limited budget & want to just keep on spending quality time on the amount that they spent.

Even in main quests, you would need to at least match the enemy level. Else the combat will be difficult and you’ll take more damage even in easy mode.

This isn't the game for you then. Without the side quests, the main quests will become a chore to complete but what's more important is that you won't be playing the game how it's typically intended to be played and thus, losing out on the experience that seperates this game from others.

You'll have a vastly different experience from others and that is reflected in the different reviews for this game.

This isn't true at all.

People play these games cause they are fun.

There are no obscure stats in these games like strength, dexterity, intelligence etc.... so you can make 5-6 types of characters with some multi classing thrown in.

Your entire character building is done by doing what you like. And it gives endless flexibility.

I did a surprisingly good quest involving... platforming.

I enjoy platformers. Wasn't expecting it in a Bethesda game though. On Mars I had to climb a broken tower 10s of meters tall, with help of jetpack.

Reminded me of Infamous games. But much harder here.

For those using the GP Version on PC - how do you apply mods - especially the one which removes the green filter on the screen and makes it look more natural colors? Game is beautiful with the natural colors - don't know why they had to put that green filter in there!

I did something similar. Had to steal a whiskey bottle which was very expensive to buy so jumped and kicked it till it went to a dark corner and stole it
