Digital Foundry when asked which PC GPU most closely matches PS5 Pro's say $579 RX 6800 or $500 RX 7800 XT with a downclock But that neither are a match as they're missing RDNA4 RT features and machine learning HW they think #PS5Pro has; future RDNA4 GPU will offer closer match.

Yeah folks wanting to build a PC instead of spending 800 EU...

 

 

Everyone should go through the trials and tribulation of building a cheap-a*s gaming PC. The lessons you learn from trying to run games on bottom of the barrel PC parts (because you wanted to beat console price) are valuable when you build your next actual PC.

Going by PS4 Pro and PS5 pattern, we'll probably get it Feb 2025.

The comparison is apples to oranges. 
 

The PS4/pro didn’t go thru a epidemic, TSMC price increases  or massive chip shortages or general prices going up

You didn’t really get what I said.

 

Games that were on PS4 ended up on PS4pro & PS5.

Games that are on PS5 will end up on PS5pro & PS6.

& this trend will continue henceforth….

 

Every new console that comes out will always have games shared with another system for a few years & then a new system will be ready to share newer games with it.

 

The Era of solely one platform exclusive died with PS3.

Yep that’s true & I explained it.

 

When PS5 launched new it shared its library with PS4/Pro & now it will share it with PS5pro which is the new one.

 

Buying a new console thinking it’s going to get games available nowhere else is a thing of the past.

 

Now buying new system means you are getting the most pristine experience.

Nothing else.

So many platforms, so few worthy games. PS3 and PS4 era had so many wonderful games that was distinctively different from each other or had fabulous stories. Grabbing day-1, PS5 has been quite disappointing for me.
