HDR is more than worth it for this monitor. It's way better than my samsung 4k HDR tv. This monitor will blow your mind away when you play games in HDR. One X downsamples to 1080p. For example, if a game has higher resolution support, one x will downsample the game, so you will get much crisper and cleaner image even on 1080p. And almost all games run at way better fps on one x than one s. One s is a sh*t console, there are hardly any 1080p native games. Most are 900p and some even drop to 720p.
