You're just arguing for the sake of arguing.

Only an idiot would want a 5 minute boot time for their next gen console.

Only an idiot will exaggerate the chance of a power cut while charging for 30mins post playtime.

& that too few seconds of system recovery screen(where actually nothing is being recovered, just standard check) exaggerated into 5mins.

If any PS5 owner confirms that system recovery screen (where nothing is being recovered coz nothing was actually in use) takes 5 mins,I’ll take my words back.

Coz PS3,PS4 & PS4pro never took more than few seconds while it’s just running a check & not actually recovering anything.

This is idiotic. No one is going to monitor controller battery, turn on ps5 again, then turn it off.

Only an idiot would be ok with working around with replaceable/rechargeable external batteries rather then pressing two extra buttons to put/turn system completely off from rest mode.

Like on Elite controllers? :fear1:

No. Like Standard Xbox Series controller. Rechargeable AA batteries

Everyone who I spoke to who has both  PS and Xbox controller always prefers AA batteries solution because of long battery life and convenience

I use the play-charge kit instead of having to swap out rechargeable batteries.

But either way, it's still an additional thing to buy instead of just unboxing the controller and using it directly.

Have had multiple abrupt power cuts last week thanks to sudden thunderstorms.

Goes to recovery and reboots in around a minute.

It doesn't. Boots in less than minute even if something is active while in rest mode.

Is 30 min enough to charge battery full? Or it it just a top up?

Big batteries these days take long to charge without fast charging.

It definitely can't be good for the console to be put in recovery mode every day.

I've always dreaded seeing that screen ever since I had a ps3. I think I ended up losing data once too.

If you guys are comfortable treating your stuff like sh*t, good for you, I guess.

Again missing the whole point.
If the system is not using any of its memory tools to either load or store any sort of data….there is no question of any damage to the system or it’s health.

Your system is essentially always running power into it(even while completely off) & that’s how it detects the Bluetooth “turn on” signal.
It’s like saying even that phase would harm your system if power goes off.

Get real dude….don’t say things just for the sake of it.

System only requires actual recovery(not check) when something was being booted or saved in any of it’s memory modules.

Aa swappable batteries inside a monster dualsense controller with haptics, motors and what is a bad idea.

The player would spend more time swapping batteries than playing a game.

AAs are more than enough even for dualsense, wtf are you even talking about

and rechargeable AA eneloops would easily outlast the current battery of ds

AAs are more than enough for controllers with 2013 technology in them.

And ~5.5k (dualsense) you will get a plug n Play experience.

For the controller that uses 2013 tech in 2022, you'll need to spend ~2k for batteries and charger on top of ~5-5.5k for the controller.

AAs are enough for dualsense also. Go check specs, don’t spew nonsense without knowledge :loco:
