STICK3Rboy
Quote “Prey,” an all-new action-thriller from 20th Century Studios directed by Dan Trachtenberg (“The Boys,” “10 Cloverfield Lane”) and the newest entry in the “Predator” franchise, will stream August 5, 2022, exclusively on Hulu. Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, “Prey” is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries. I hope to God this turns out to be good. Edited May 17 by STICK3Rboy

Try for weekday show and farther from the release date, it's loot during the first few days after release. Dr Strange price for IMAX dropped from like 850 for those top row seats to 420 currently, it's just a week since release.

While chain specific price variations are obviously there, but these insanely hogh prices are driven by distributors. Footfalls are relatively low compared to pre pandemic times, hence many movies, which are for sure going to work at big cities, at being priced higher. Again, all at the discretion of distributors of these movies Edited May 17 by Sach4life

For those want to see release day or nearby movies, these are atrocious prices. Went to Wave cinemas for DS2. 300 bucks a pop. Decent screen, decent sound. IMAX runs full at 850/1300 combo all through the first week. Who the f**k pays such prices ? 53 minutes ago, Sach4life said: While chain specific price variations are obviously there, but these insanely hogh prices are driven by distributors. And now tickets are being booked a month in advance, so there's a subtle pressure on those who want launch week viewing. 5 minutes ago, Assassins Creed said: Has become normal in Bangalore also, almost for 2 weeks of the new movie release Just checked with Keyo. 650 weekend, 600 weekday Bangalore IMAX. That's why I wait for 10 days after release when it comes down to 350-400 for weekday afternoon shows. And let's not talk about the atrocious Popcorn and snacks prices.. Max Pain
Saw The Hunt for Red October and The Northman. Enjoyed both. EDIT: By the way, these movies make full use of subwoofer. Without one, it really wouldn't be the same experience IMO. Edited May 17 by Max Pain
0verlord
I paid 1500 for 2 tix @ IMAX with laser theatre at pvr lower parel, 2nd day of Dr Strange 2 release - worth it Gorgeous visuals theatres, especially imax theatres are a temple and a price can’t be put on the divine experience

They're opening tix sales a month early and pricing is through the moon. I watched DS2 in regular 3D, 400 bucks a pop - and that was a whole week later. I did not care that much for MCU movies, but I do want an A-Tier IMAX experience for Top Gun Maverick and Jurassic World - and I'm very much worried about Logix IMAX pricing. Meanwhile go back to Spice (or Smart Bharat Mall ) and its still at 200 bucks - plus its 10 mins away from my place.

Yeah, but Shane Black's was even better and he made The Predator. So I'm being cautiously optimistic this time. The premise sounds really cool though. -------- Everything Everywhere All at Once is now available you know where. Finally time to see what all the hoopla is about. achilles
19 hours ago, Bird Bird Bird said: Yup. Directors like Cameron or Ridley Scott are once a generation legends. Always always always hyped for their movies. f**k the haters. Time scrubs everything. They've both been great, but are they now? Cameron is kind of separated from the scene as the dude makes one movie a decade. Still, his last great was Titanic, over 25 years ago. It also had an amazing team, including two of the very best actors in the world. Ridley Scott hasn't really been good for a while. The House of Gucci was an absolute stinker. The only exception in the last 20 years has been The Martian. He's also 85. They've each done great things. How much they have left to offer, remains to be seen. Same. It's 5 mins from my place. Watched DS2 at Wave, and it was a decent experience. I'll probably go for JP at Wave too. Spice has a darker screen comparatively. If its a quieter noire experience like Batman or something, and if there aren't subtitles I'd miss like half the dialogues. I don't mind Wave as such - but Top Gun is the most hyped movie for me this year so want to splurge+I don't think the Wave seats recline at all. My school used to take as to Wave for movies.
