I remember the good ole E3 days where practically every PS show was great. Only Doom: The Dark Ages and Days Gone Remastered (havent played original) interest me for 2025. Yes…..Only Spider-Man Remaster & Horizon Remaster are really worth upgrading for ₹500 coz they were essentially engine upgrades inline with the sequel. Rest are all 60fps locked in performance mode with very slight resolution upgrade. Same thing Sony already did with free patches long ago….minus the slight resolution bump. Have played GoW Last Of us 2 Days Gone TLG on free bumps on PS5…..no need to upgrade practically unless you are a VRR fanatic!! There is absolutely no reason or incentive for multiplatform developers to prioritise on one system. Sony basically has a monopoly in AAA High spec Console space & Nintendo has a monopoly in core Handheld market. They have no reason to pay for Second or Third party exclusives anymore. They are basically releasing a namesake console as a Windows OEM to avoid legal trouble because they have sold vast amounts of digital libraries. Will run poorly optimised PC ports if the ‘Forwards Compatible Team’ don’t dedicate themselves onto it. It’s not really as easy quitting as it was during Atari,Sega,Nintendo era. As for GamePass….it’s anybody’s guess as neither Xbox’s nor Xclouds are in enough numbers to sustain it. PC players will rather pirate than pay $20 a month & M$ knows this very well. Now all the GamePass backdoor subscribers were fully aware they were collectively working towards the end of Xbawks….also haemorrhage the studios M$ was gobbling up!! (Please don’t f**ckin pretend or tell me you didn’t!!) But they still did it anyway & even cried out loud in cringe each time M$ tried close the backdoor or increase the XBL/Core prices!! Forcing them to keep the lame door open!!
