Wtf is Xbox Series X exclusives and wtf is Next Gen Support. So series S is basically current gen and also next gen?

I think they intend this to take the oneX's spot in the line up.

for atleast another year #Inclusive wagera chalega so the base xbone will have to be supported.

devs will have to deal with 3 different SKUs

Nah, the fact that it has same CPU as SX puts it in a different league. 1X has always been bottlenecked by shitty Jaguars. Plus RDNA2 TF is supposedly 50% more powerful than GCN at same number means GPU is on par with 1X but with more features.

I was talking about One X vs Series S, the above is One S which is obviously low... Lets wait for someone to make that chart..

No XSS is way more powerful than OneX. Its using same same next gen tech as Series X just less power for cheaper cost. GPU has less TF but its Navi RDNA 2 which way more efficient and advance than OneX Polaris GPU..

One S and One X support will be dropped by 2022 im 100% sure for future games. They want some decent Series X or S  install base before dropping One X and S support

I am guessing your grandma still buys consoles for you and probably your mobile phone too :giggle:. This is like the dumbest argument when the difference between the 2 versions will be atleast 200$ And most probably the colour also.

Also xbox one production has stopped if you didnt know.

Don't discount the value of brand names. We had a live example of that @hope said just some years ago.

"At Shop: Please pack a Wii.

At Home: What do you mean, I was supposed to buy a Wii U for Christmas, not a Wii. Is there a difference? It's just a U right? Now that it's here just use it"

Now

"At Shop: Pack an Xbox X Please

At Home: What do you mean I was supposed to buy an Xbox Series X for Christmas and not an Xbox One X. Is there a difference? One and Series are literally the same. Now that it's here just use it"

See the problem here? Many (If not most) of console purchases will be purchased as gifts by non-gamers to gamers as holiday gifts. Wii U was one of the worst selling console in the entire history of consoles - and this was one of the major reasons.

In Playstation it's easy, people will not confuse Playstations because 1 is better than 2; 2 is better than 3; 3 is better than 4; 4 is better than 5 etc. It's understood even by small children.

But Wii and Wii U? One S, One X, Series S and Series X? Who the heck will understand that, other than hardcore gamers who follow all console news religiously including things like participating in forums, seeing all E3s etc. What about the vast majority who play FIFA and all? Will they be able to tell the difference? Non gamers buying gifts to gamers? Even if you write down Xbox Series X on a paper, some people will still mistake it and get One X instead.

Color is immaterial because all consoles will come in multiple colors. Price will also not make a difference as people can mistake it for some different manufacturing part, manufactured in a more expensive place etc (Made in China vs Made in America for example) or even simply that the Series X is simply a refreshed model of One X but both are same etc (There re tons of reasonings)

Accept that the brand name is a mistake - because that is what it is. A mistake and a disaster waiting to happen. Even with Wii U's live example, wonder why MS chose to go ahead with this brand name. Either they don't care anymore and are simply clearing stocks of already produced Series Xs (Console development starts much before Next Gen Starts) or the entire Marketing team needs a serious firing.
