Disappointing overall!

 

They could've shown a few other things apart from FF16, SF6, Immortals of Aveum, GT movie. Those were already revealed with a lot of info already available.

 

A few first party games shown but all were live service games, so that's kinda meh for me, too.

 

This felt more like an Xbox show than PS.

 

SM2 gameplay, and the MGS announcement were the highlights of the show!

 

Apart from those, a few other indie titles that piqued my interest. But, meh show overall!

Some decent games were shown. Problem was that this was supposed to show the phase 2 of PS5 and was 1st showcase in 1.5 years. In that context, it was disappointing.

Looks like it'll be just like the first game. A great single player campaign with low quality side content. I don't know if I should dislike how on the rails these games are, despite the insane quality.

I don't necessarily agree. While this show was lacking from first party standpoint, I definitely expect around 2-3 of AAA first party SP games next year/early 2025.

Now that I think about it, most of Sony's studios have released games in the last 2-3 years. It was too early to expect them to show their next game anyway I guess.

 

Also, Dragon's Dogma 2 looks awesome.
