I like the Halo world since it's the only other major space sci fi game series out there now that Mass Effect is in the cold storage.

But i've never understood these SPOILERS REEEEEE !!!!! attitude some people have.

Like it's a videogame, not a book or a thriller film that reading some plot details will hamper your experience of the game :|

And just like a book or thriller movie, I'd rather experience it myself than have someone spoil it for me.

But that's just me.

WTF?!? :O:O

Do you think it would be a nice experience for anyone to play through the story after accidently reading spoilers?

Even for a lame a*s story like Days Gone, it would instantly kill my motivation to keep playing if someone told me the ending.

The gameplay is just shooting and moving forward in most games. The story is what keeps it alive.

Doesn't it depend on the game? Sure many games have just a filler story like pron but more and more games are taking story seriously these days.

Having said that, personally I don't think its worth it getting worked up over spoilers. With social media its way too easy to get accidentally spoiled.  Even if you're not on twitter or reddit, even on a group whatsapp chat or forum like IVG, someone or the other will accidently send some spoilers. It's happened so many times with me.

If I had a rupee everytime its happened...

Having said that (again), I don't think its ok to get go no-holds-barred either. Obviously lets try to keep it at minimum.

Video games have thriller endings/character arcs too... Maybe you are playing dumb games where the story doesn't matter and so spoilers are fine for you.

Majority of the story games with actual story breaks the thrill/fun factor when someone spoils it.

It very much hampers your experience. You are playing thinking nothing will happen and boom...suddenly X happens. Completely different experience than just thinking yeah this is going to happen, some derp spoiled it already. What experience there?

Not to mention some games have world changing events like Batman Arkham Knight or Final Fantasy 6.

They would loose meaning if you knew what was coming.

Arkham Knight was so cool towards the end.

Can someone even imagine playing LOU2 knowing the entire story upfront ? I played it hiding from all the spoilers and wat a journey it was.. it would have completely changed the experience playing knowing everything..

IMO video game spoilers >> Movie spoilers

I have been feeling nauseated while playing Metro Exodus.

I think cause I haven't played FPS in quite a while and the tv being kinda big (43in) is causing this.

I have stopped playing after the 4th arc. Anyone else feels sick during FPS and how do you deal with it.

Thanks, I thought it was only me.

I couldn't complete the game due to this nauseating experience and also the terrible russian voice acting.

Imo, very overrated game. Only the visuals are good.

Motion sickness sucks, dude. I remember playing Doom and Wolfenstein as a kid, when we got a PC for the first time, and getting these bad headaches and almost puking. Never got much better, so I usually skip FPS games. I think 60fps kinda helps in my recent experience, played and finished Titanfall 2 a few months ago without much issues.
